The unavoidable downside to an evening spent enjoying your favorite cocktails is the dreaded hangover the following day. One would think that in this day and age, someone would have developed the technology to counteract nausea, lethargy, and nagging headaches. Sadly not.
Ben Reed—bestselling author and seasoned bartender (and drinker)—is here to help. Hangover Cures explains why we get a hangover, the best way to avoid them and, if all else fails, recipes to help alleviate the pain. Try a Corpse Reviver or a Bloody Mary to take the edge off your hangover, or, for a healthier option, replace lost nutrients with a juice drink such as the restorative Liver Recovery. With cures from around the world, reviving recipes and expert advice, Hangover Cures will help ease the suffering of the morning after the night before.
This book was really funny...I giggled all through it. (No...I had not been drinking! Nor did I have a hangover...)I actually learned quite a few tricks I'd never heard of. I intend to buy some Fernet Branca to have on hand! Also Milk Thistle Extract...The down side is that there are so many delicious looking hangover cures that I may have to test them out! Thanks Audrey!
I have this book of Audrey's and really need to get it back to her....so for a 15 minute read, what better time to do it than preparing for the night out on New Year's! Hope I remember some of the great pointers for tomorrow morning because I know the first point they made won't work for me tonight. Oh, the first point you wonder.... don't over do! Happy New Year to All!
