If you can't afford Zverev's book, this one is a great source for filter design. Yes, you can get a computer to do this for you, but after you read the book, you might just understand what that computer was doing when it gave you the design.

Damn good book if you want to design filters. I actually used it successfully to design filters for use in radio broadcasting.
