Slave Species of the Gods: The Secret History of the Anunnaki and Their Mission on Earth

Rate this book
Our origins as a slave species and the Anunnaki legacy in our DNA

• Reveals compelling new archaeological and genetic evidence for the engineered origins of the human species, first proposed by Zecharia Sitchin in The 12th Planet

• Shows how the Anunnaki created us using pieces of their own DNA, controlling our physical and mental capabilities by inactivating their more advanced DNA

• Identifies a recently discovered complex of sophisticated ruins in South Africa as the city of the Anunnaki leader Enki

Scholars have long believed that the first civilization on Earth emerged in Sumer some 6,000 years ago. However, as Michael Tellinger reveals, the Sumerians and Egyptians inherited their knowledge from an earlier civilization that lived at the southern tip of Africa and began with the arrival of the Anunnaki more than 200,000 years ago. Sent to Earth in search of life-saving gold, these ancient Anunnaki astronauts from the planet Nibiru created the first humans as a slave race to mine gold--thus beginning our global traditions of gold obsession, slavery, and god as dominating master.

Revealing new archaeological and genetic evidence in support of Zecharia Sitchin’s revolutionary work with pre-biblical clay tablets, Tellinger shows how the Anunnaki created us using pieces of their own DNA, controlling our physical and mental capabilities by inactivating their more advanced DNA--which explains why less than 3 percent of our DNA is active. He identifies a recently discovered complex of sophisticated ruins in South Africa, complete with thousands of mines, as the city of Anunnaki leader Enki and explains their lost technologies that used the power of sound as a source of energy. Matching key mythologies of the world’s religions to the Sumerian clay tablet stories on which they are based, he details the actual events behind these tales of direct physical interactions with “god,” concluding with the epic flood--a perennial theme of ancient myth--that wiped out the Anunnaki mining operations.

Tellinger shows that, as humanity awakens to the truth about our origins, we can overcome our programmed animalistic and slave-like nature, tap in to our dormant Anunnaki DNA, and realize the longevity and intelligence of our creators as well as learn the difference between the gods of myth and the true loving God of our universe.

Michael Tellinger

Michael Tellinger has become one of South Africa’s bestselling export authors. His regular articles on human origins and his book Slave Species of god have been praised by readers in over 20 countries.

Michael is a scientist in the true sense of the word, never shying away from controversial issues, scrutinising every clue meticulously. He graduated in 1983 from the University Of Witwatersrand Medical School, Johannesburg, with a B.Pharmaceutics degree, a passion for the cosmos, genetics and human history.

His research and astute understanding of his subject matter has made him a regular guest on many radio shows in the USA and UK with popular hosts like George Noory on Coast to Coast; Kevin Smith, Hillary Raimo, American Freedom Radio, Howard Hughes in the UK; the Camelot Project, and more.

Before applying his writing and research skills to books, Michael followed his other passion, for music. He spent much of his early years in the arts performing on stage and screen. As part of the duo “Stirling & Tellinger” he had several music hits in South Africa. In 1986, he worked in Los Angeles for Cannon Films as a sound designer and editor; and wrote and recorded the controversial anti-apartheid song “We come from Johannesburg”, which was banned under the previous regime. His latest contribution to the arts was a song called “Side By Side With Angels”, for the TSUNAMI disaster fund in 2005, which featured a number of top SA artists. He has written a number of screenplays, children’s educational books and TV shows.

As a producer he created a variety of TV shows and worked as a presenter on numerous others. As a writer in advertising in 1989, he received a Clio award in New York and in 2000 he presented his own weekly show on 567 Cape Talk radio in Cape Town, exploring technology, science and astronomy.

After a 30-year long obsession with the origins of humankind and the genetic anomalies of our species, he took some time out to write Slave Species of god, which became an instant bestseller in South Africa. When Johan Heine exposed the mystery of the stone ruins of South Africa to Michael in 2007, they began an irreversible process of research that led Michael to some startling scientific conclusions and the completion of two more books, Adam’s Calendar and Temples Of The African Gods.

It is uncanny that Michael’s passion for music and his understanding of sound frequency, harmonic resonance and wave formation in scientific terms, has allowed him to make the astounding breakthrough in decoding the mystery of the ancient ruins and lost civilisations of southern Africa.

I probably love this book but I felt too close to it to give it five stars. Mr. Tellinger has undertaken a task that I had given serious thought to on more than one occasion. He has essentially taken the life long scholarship of Zecharia Sitchin and formed a cohesive narrative that does a better job of explaining the questions regarding mankind's prehistory than current theory. It also leads to a better understanding of many confusing aspects of current events.

My main complaint with this book is that I felt like I was reading my own writing and in that respect I wanted to edit and rephrase but, as it was a library book I'm sure this wouldn't have been appreciated. This is one of those books which I must own though.

You can read a synopsis of the book yourself so I won't bother giving that here. I do feel the need to bash a couple of aspects of the book though. First of all, Mr. Tellinger feels compelled to give us a brief lesson in cosmology and biology. While these are relevant subjects they don't advance the case made by the book and they get in the way of the wonderfully bold conclusions drawn in later chapters.

The cosmology section references the big bang theory which has been discredited. While this was generally acknowledged in 2005 when "Slave Species of the Gods" was published it still hasn't been picked up by mainstream media and it is most likely still being taught in school. It would really do the education system a lot of good to make it more clear that scientific theories are just that and they can be disproved without necessarily providing any replacement. There is a more reasonable theory here but it hasn't gained traction in the mainstream. Please read "The Big Bang Never Happened"

The biology section is like reading a text book. One of the inconsistencies of the book is in its theorizing on the human genome. It discusses the evolution and perfection of genomes and attributes social characteristics like violence and greed to genes. This is a point he returns to repeatedly with no benefit to his case. He begins to waffle on his conviction here by the end of the book also. I would have just cut out all references to the genome in regards to behavior.

My favorite aspect of this book is the acknowledgment that there is a spiritual nature to life which is even acknowledged by those who we credit falsely as being God the creator and his angels.

If you have strongly held religious beliefs this book will just piss you off. I would be surprised if Mr. Tellinger isn't already on a Muslim hit list.

If you feel at all uncomfortable with the dogmas that over half the world subscribe to and want a chance to peek under the robes, this is a great introduction to a much better documented reality than you've been allowed to imagine.

Oh my god. The scariest thing about this book is that people not only believe what's in it, but believe Tellinger uses "credible sources" to boot. I would just laugh at a book like this if everyone was laughing along with me, but that's just not the case. Therefore, reading this just filled me with dread.

I first heard of this book from my good friend who has a grandmother who is batshit crazy and believes all sorts of conspiracy theories. This book contains one such conspiracy theory. I knew I had to read this book when my friend told me his grandmother truly believes that humans were created by a race of aliens who lived on the planet Tiamat so that they could harvest gold for said aliens. Boy, was I not disappointed when I actually cracked this thing open. My friend was not pulling my leg. In fact, he did not explain nearly as much shit that this book goes on about, most notably that all the information the author has gathered essentially came from ancient Sumerian clay tablets.

As if the tablets weren't credible enough, Tellinger also manages to use groundbreakingly notable websites such as wikipedia.org, geocities.com, jesus21.com, B17.com, angelfire.com, bigeye.com, home.comcast.net, to name a few...and let's not forget the most credible source on this Tiamat-given earth, the magazine New Scientist! And to encourage his readers to really take a moment to appreciate all the sources he painstakingly researched through, he just lists all of these website urls with no other discernible information attached in no alphabetical or otherwise-organized order! But don't ask me what kind of information he found on any of these websites, because he cites sources within his writing maybe about 3 times throughout the whole book. Most of his sources aren't even attached to any citations within the actual writing, so who's to say what information he got from these websites, if any at all! There was even a time he quoted Louis Pasteur, but there's no source in the back to match his citation, so who's to say where he got that quote from. He could've gotten it from faculty.washington.edu, but who's to say, he very well could've gotten it from space-art.co.uk. The world may never know...But hey, who cares about all those rinky dink sources he went through the trouble of providing for us, because the real meat in this book comes from those Sumerian clay tablets!

Despite all that, Tellinger does an amazing job of ignoring the most obvious facts (that sometimes he brings up himself then somehow forgets after 3 pages), insulting unnamed "hack" scientists and historians for not agreeing with his ideas, and claiming there's no justified reason why ancient humans would know certain information or behave a certain way unless they were being controlled, almost like...a SLAVE SPECIES! He really pisses me off because he reminds me of people who believe aliens created the pyramids, as if ancient humans couldn't have been nearly as smart or determined to accomplish such feats. There is no way that after probably hundreds of thousands of years humans discovered gold, where to mine it, how to mine it, and how to smelt it, all while assigning significiant meaning to it because of its rarity, as well as its physical and aesthetic qualities. There's just no justifiable reason, ancient humans were braindead ape-like creatures that were only interested in food, shelter, and reproduction! It isn't like they had ages and ages to discover new things and cultivate skills and ideas, so they must have been granted the knowledge by aliens from a planet that these mighty beings couldn't even save from crumbling into the asteroid belt!

And don't even get me started on how often he tries to convince the reader how smart and "in the know" they are for reading this book and listening to his bullshit ideas. Listen, if an author has to constantly remind his reader that the information he's sharing is special, insightful, and groundbreaking, and that the people who believe the information are educated and enlightened, while the people who refuse to believe it are foolish simpletons who ignore the truth, that's a bad sign. The truth is simply the truth, and good sources stand on their own without the need for constant reminders of just how RIGHT the information is. If an author is complimenting you on such a job well done for realizing "the truth," especially as incessantly as Tellinger does, that is some manipulative bullshit. People, please, you're not smart if you just take someone's opinions at face value without analyzing the info and considering it logically yourself. Tellinger just does a disservice to the reader and ends up disrespecting us, because he can't even give us the tools to look at his sources ourselves and consider the information once we've done our own research. With nary a citiation in sight, there's no opportunity to say "oh, I want to know more about that, let me check out where he found that information from." He just expects you to trust him. That's fucked up.

There are just so many issues, I could go on forever. I feel bad for anyone who reads shit like this and believes it at face value. Just because a book is published doesn't mean it's accurate. Just because a person has "reasons" for something to be true, it doesn't mean they're good reasons that come from valid places. You should automatically be suspicious if the author couldn't even take the time to find valid sources, to cite his book correctly, or to follow any code of conduct when it comes to good research/research writing practices. He's just a fucked up guy who's peddling his fucked up ideas and he has no leg to stand on. It's a good thing he's got all those clay tablets, otherwise I'd be worried he'd have nothing to lean on. Oh my god, fuck this book, fuck Tellinger, and fuck gullible people who believe shit like this.

"The god is the devil and the devil is our maker" this is the highlight of "Salve species of God". I have read couple of books written by Zecharia Sitchin and this book authored by Michael Tellinger closely follows his works. The author mentions the difference between God and god. The god with small 'g' are Anunnaki astronauts and explorers who settled on Earth some 443,000 years ago under the command of Anu, the supreme ruler of Planet Nibiru. An intelligent race like Anunnaki why should they have to settle in Earth is very much explained in the book.

The author questions us "Who are we? How did we get here? And, why are we here?" He gives citations from many books why we are created. His predominant examples are from the Sumerian cuneiform tablets. I was awestruck when I read the similarities between Enuma Elish or the Epic of Creation and the Genesis in the Old Testament.

 photo ZECHARIA_SITCHIN_zps2cc9vjds.jpg

Zecharia Sitchin with 6000 year old Sumerian cylinder seal impression (image from wikipedia)

According to the Sumerian clay tablets the tenth planet of our solar system Nibiru (has odd orbit) which takes 3600 years for one rotation, the planet has its own source of heat (radiant) it is also called as planet of the crossing and it is represented in the clay tablets as cross. The planet loses its ozone kind of layer and the ruler of Nibiru, I forget his name! he was the ruler before Anu takes up the leadership. After losing the fight with Anu for leadership he escapes from the planet and reaches Earth through asteroid belt. Here he finds the precious metal Gold in abundance and sends the message to his home planet. Anu after counseling accepts and plans to send his first son Enki (Ea) to mine gold. He reaches Abzu (South Africa) and starts to mine gold, they name Earth as Ki and Mars as Lahmu. They create a space base in Mars which has less gravity than Earth. In due course that is thousands of years Enki's brother Enlil is sent to command Earth. He selects the cedar mountain region that is present day Lebanon as his home.

The mining was laborious process and the workers start to agitate and complain, Enki and his sister Ninmah experiments and creates Adamu the first human species combining the genes of Homo erectus and their own gene. Like Anunnaki the human species had long life span and intelligent like the maker. They then manipulate our gene with that our intelligence has been suppressed, knowledge has been erased, our lifespan has genetically shortened and our memory been removed.

Scientifically the author shows the evidence that chromosomal Adam and mitochondrial Eve were created between 180,000 to 250,000 years ago.

We were created as their slaves to extract gold for their planet to sustain life. As their mission nears completion, they come to know that Nibiru will be closer to Mars and Earth orbit which will create havoc for both planets. Enki is benevolent towards his creation which angers Enlil as he is the commander asks his promise to erase the human kind from earth. The event is the great flood Enki breaks his promise and helps his son born from his own creation Ziusudra (Noah) escape from the calamity. The Sumerian clay tablets elaborates how Ziusudra takes the life essence (that is the sperm, Ova etc) of each species with them to his ark. After the flood the Anunnaki realizes not only Earth and Mars affected but also their own planet Nibiru.

They search new place for gold now they find America suitable for their purpose. After the end of Ice age Enki helps human kind in teaching agriculture and they create their own civilization. Whereas Enlil who still commands Earth was against such schemes. According to the clay tablets Enki is the Serpent god and Enlil the Lord of Adamu and Ti-Amat (Eve) tasting the fruit in Edin is a representation of Enki teaching them the real meaning of their life. Enki was portrayed as devil and Enlil as god. Now we know why god became devil and why devil is our maker.

Their fight still continues, the author mentions that Our arrogance is our weakness and our ignorance a congenital disease that will eventually destroy us. Since we have the DNA of the Anunnaki with us and we were made in their image of our maker, it must surely mean that we inherited more than just his physical features. He also mentions the schemes of Enlil and Marduk that there is not a single religion on Earth that was created by God. But there are several which were imposed on us by the ancient gods.

It is big book, Chapters 1,2 and Chapters 15 and 16 are page turners. In between the author has given exhaustive list of various gods (remember god with small g) of Roman, Greek, Hindu etc. And also a list of people according to the religious belief. The book started to drag after 40% as I mentioned earlier the last two chapters having 200 odd pages are page turners. In my opinion the author should have reduced the pages and given only shortened account of numerous gods and census of the world.

Michael Tellinger, in his book Slave Species, presents the idea that humans were created by Gods with one sole purpose, to serve them. At first consideration, the idea sounds absurd, but the evidence provided by Tellinger is quite compelling. When we consider that almost all mythologies and religions cite stories of creation and manipulation of men from Gods, then perhaps we need to look at things from a different perspective than that set out by mainstream religion. And that way may be not be to think of Gods as supreme spiritual beings, but rather beings from another advanced civilization that existed either on Earth or beyond. After all, a God, by definition, is a being that is superior in its abilities and powers, but this needn’t mean that it cannot be made of flesh and blood. It is important to remember that the origins of the word ‘Myth’ go back to thousands of years BC and the meaning back then was ‘true stories’ and not fictions of imagination as it is now.

Tellinger goes back in time and presents the threads through which our slavery becomes evident. He meticulously outlines each topic through different religions and mythologies presenting the facts separate from his opinion. He shows how ‘Gods’ and ‘Authorities’ in the history of mankind manipulate the masses and the majority of people are being used to serve the few.

Whether you will believe him or not is another matter. One thing is for sure, as Tellinger writes, human beings have been slaves, in one way or another, through the history of the humanity. Today we are not slaves of one king or god but we are slaves of our governments, big organizations, our jobs and most importantly of money. I am sure that at least on this point most would agree.

The question remains. Is all of this a deliberate plan of beings from another planet?

Although I admire authors who have the courage to investigate alternative histories, I at least expect them to use credible sources and investigative techniques. Unfortunately, since Tellinger does not seem to trust credible researchers, rather than conduct his own unique research, or base his work on established research, he incredibly relies on Google searches and a number of authors who he calls “esteemed investigative writers, scholars and authors” but who have actually have been strongly discredited by their peers, such as Barbara Thiering, Eduard Albert Meier, and Erich von Danken, as well as highly speculative authors such as L. Taylor Hansen William Bramley.
As such, Tellinger often cites as fact, highly speculative and unproven theories, such as Jesus being an Essene, having spent most of his life in the East (Asia), and having travelled to Mexico.
Thus the entire foundation of his premise, which he establishes in his first 7 chapters, has little to commend it. That leaves the last chapter, which is a summary of Zecharia Sitchen’s “The Lost Book of Enki”. Admittedly, this is a very good summary, and I think the entire book could easily have been edited down to just this chapter as well as an introductory chapter, reducing the book to a third in size, at most.
However, once again, the lack of credibility enters the scene. Tellinger summarizes Sitchen’s account, and once even states how remarkable it is that we are reading the very words inscribed on clay tablets by the Sumerians! Because of Tellinger’s amateur approach to academic research, he seems to be totally unaware that Sitchin’s entire book itself is a fictional account, very loosely based on some fragments that Sitchin had researched. In fact, Sitchin’s book contains no footnotes, references, etc. as to which ideas are based on these fragments and which are purely a result of Sitchin’s vivid imagination.
As to Sitchin’s previous books and translations, his approach and translations have been criticized as unscientific and highly biased by his peers, in the sense that he ignores evidence that goes against his own theories, and builds up and distorts evidence that support it. Even some of his translations are suspect and have been shown to be inaccurate.
Some of the theories are also quite implausible. For example, It is difficult to comprehend the existence of a planet orbiting the Sun in an elliptical orbit for a period of 3,600 years, when perhaps 99% of it’s orbit is in deepest space, when the planet would be absolutely frozen solid, regardless of how much “internal warmth or radiation” the planet seems to have. It’s also implausible to expect scribes from 4,000 – 5,500 years ago to accurately detail events that occurred some 350,000 years ago. Also, it is hard to comprehend the need for the building of the pyramids as navigation beams, when the supposed landing sites for the craft were as far away as Lebanon. Another example is the difficulty in understanding the need for such massive and difficult to build platforms, as those built at Baalbek for sophisticated landing craft, when the simple natural deserts of Peru were sufficient for the purpose.
Although it is tempting to blame all our human failures on the Sumerian gods and thereby to continue to avoid taking responsibility for ourselves, Tellinger’s entire book is based on discredited and highly speculative information, and poor research techniques. As such, I cannot recommend this book as even close to being credible.

This book to me is "The Holy Grail" and the most compelling and well researched book I have read to answer the question of our physical origins on this planet. It was like "coming home." So much so that I ordered an extra copy to loan out to my friends.

I have learned from the reading of this book that if you want answers and are willing to be open and suspend judgement, you can move closer and closer to the truth you are seeking and achieve that "ah ha" moment that may last you the rest of your life. This riveting book has done that for me.

I cannot recommend this book more highly for those of you who have wondered about our origins on planet earth and the ancient life of mankind and have not been satisfied with our culture's simplified answers in Genesis.

Interesting concept . . . with credible references. As I was writing a book on the Transatlantic Slave Trade, I became more interested in ancient history, After completing that work, I was pleasantly surprised to find this book. Initially it was heavy, and tedious, but I think the end is worth it. Fascinating ideas and worthy of consideration by many more people. For example, why do historians consider some people mythical (not real) and others gods. Too often, rather than being objective, our science has a personal, political or religious bias -- and we ignore it. Not Mr. Tellinger. He faces it head on, over and over again as he seeks the truth about our beginning. He followed a very convincing timeline that adds weight to this subject that has not exactly been pinned down. By tying his thesis to the Universe, I became convinced that he is on to something that could be very beneficial. Slaves were workers, which in and of itself is not a negative . . . however, humans with gods as their original mentors have gotten more and more brutal -- especially as they are making more and more money. The gods were interested in the utilization of gold for repair, very different. This brutal mindset and the accompanying practices can end. Humankind needs to get busy ending our collective enslavement. But only after we face the truth of our beginning.

This book turned me on to the theory of ancient aliens. It made some very intriguing arguments that got me thinking. The idea that we were genetically engineered by aliens will always be in the back of my mind after reading it! And I love how the author says in the beginning that if you can't get past the craziness of this idea, just read the book as fiction. It is an interesting story to say the least. Try it out; you may be surprised!

I can't take anyone seriously who uses Wikipedia as a reference. Additionally, I threw the book down when he uses information from a "respectable Christian website", the Landover Baptist Church. He completely misunderstands that this is a satirical website made to poke fun at bible thumpers!

If I were to rate this book on content alone, it would have received five stars because it is chalk full of interesting and insanely insightful details about the origin of the human species. Written as a nonfiction, this book explains, often in excruciating detail, the science of gene manipulation, the history of the African slave-trade, the history of gold-mining, and the ancient Sumerian legends of the extraterrestrial astronauts who long-ago combined all these elements while settling Earth and creating the human-being. South African author, Michael Tellinger, writes sincerely when he suggests that the God read about in the Bible is actually a mis-representation of the many "gods" or "Anunnaki" who ruled the planet before mankind existed. By delving into the science of genetics, mythology, religion, and world history, Mr. Tellinger provides an astounding argument that everything taught in schools today regarding human history is wrong! Prepare your self for an elaborate history lesson into where you came from, and be sure to bring a very open mind.

This title contains well researched material full of ground-breaking facts. SSOG is a great starting point in finding the "truth," then again, "truth" is subjective anyway... right? So I rephrase that statement by saying; this book is a great starting point for finding a "truth." Whatever your truth may be, you will find Michael Tellinger's truth clearly spelled out in this title. Who am I to say he's wrong? I can say, however, juxtaposed with my own truth, some of his stories are trivial.

In conclusion Mr. Tellinger writes, "The arrogant way in which we treat the precious knowledge from our distant past, has only extended our years of ignorance. As intelligent as we may think we are, we still don't know who we are, where we come from and why we are here on this lonely planet called earth." This is an entertaining piece of literature.

Great book

The title sounds cheesy at first but it is what it is. Very informative outside of the base theory of the book. Loved the thoughts it invoked, and the implications it will have when proven. Please approach with an open mind. Tellinger writes in a very simple way that is fun, and easy to understand. A lot of this being based upon newly discovered, and translated Sumerian clay tablets at the amount of 30,000. Please read this book if you ever wonder about our origins. It's not "scientific" fact, but it seems to make a difficult puzzle a little easier to conceptualize.

The book is tedious, slow, and unnecessary dense...I skimmed through it as I was already familiar with the topic.

I have a problem with books referencing Zecharia Sitchin. I don't know why I can't trust Sitchin.
First of all, how do we know what is written on the clay tablets is true and not distorted or written by the victors of war? Also, why would the interpretation of these tablets be in the hand of one man?

The story of Enki, Enlil, Anum etc. can be interpreted in many ways. My biggest question is why space faring beings would want to create Adam or humans as a slave race to do "gold mining"!? They had spaceships but not machines to mine gold!?

I don't think they tampered with Adam's original DNA to mine gold but to prison him and others who have the Divine Soul on Earth in a flesh suit. I think if the remaining of the dormant DNA switches on, one will be able to eject from this prison body and prison planet and gain their original Superpowers.

One thing that shows the author's naivety is believing George Bastard Sores is a philanthropist!
No! These Elites are fooling the mass like the author...they are the reptilians/dracos in human form.
(I wonder if the author is tied to the "secret societies" after all ? Hmmm....)

I agree with a lot of the authors theories and I found some of his questions interesting:

"Why are we so obsessed with popular religions that mostly bow to a god who uses retribution and punishment as a form of control? If we all come from the same maker, we should all have the
same set of rules on how to obey that maker, but this is clearly not the case. Religious conflict has torn our history apart for millennia and still hangs over our heads into the 21st century like a cancer waiting to devour us."

"Why would such a perfect part of creation like the DNA, consist of as much as 97% of unintelligible junk? Surely God does not make mistakes! Or is it possible that the inactive genes were purposely switched off, somehow, by someone when modern humans were created, right at the dawn of humanity?Could there have been some group of beings armed with sufficient skill and knowledge, who consciously planned and executed this procedure?"

"One of the very strong points which Darwin makes is that evolution does not happen in ‘jumps’. It took about 120 years for Fred Hoyle and Chandra Wickramasinghe to show that evolution does happen in jumps with the help of viruses and bacteria that arrive on Earth from space in a process called Panspermia. These new arrivals from space constantly mutate, infect the cells of plants and creatures and quite quickly cause dramatic changes in the DNA structure of the host."

"did other humans exist before Adam and Eve?"

"Why would such a complex molecule be created with only 3% functionality? Scientists refer to this as ‘Junk’ DNA because they have not discovered what secret messages it is hiding if any. This clearly makes no sense according to the evolutionist theory. If the genome was evolving from a simple to a complex structure, these long sections of the DNA would not exist. It would make sense that a relatively small number of genes may have evolved over time, only to become obsolete, but the fact that 97% of our DNA seems to be inactive leaves many questions unanswered"

"we need to ask, who was our maker(s)? How evolved were they? How smart were they really? How much of their genome did they use compared to ours? Because according to my theory, if they had the perfect complete genome, they certainly did not behave accordingly. They certainly created a big mess on this planet, leaving their offspring to survive and fend for themselves in the kindergarten of the universal community of beings. Is this the way we will behave when we start to colonise Mars?"

"It seems that airborne infectious diseases, plagues and epidemics literarily descend upon the people of the world like a blanket from the sky. And yet for millennia people believed, and men of science and medicine believed, that these diseases were passed on from person to person"

"In his latest book entitled DNA - The Secret of Life one of the founders of the DNA, James Watson, writes: “Understanding genetics is not just
understanding why we look like our parents. It is also about coming to grips with some of Humankind’s oldest enemies: the flaws in our genes that cause
genetic disease.” This statement feeds my argument superbly. Why should our genome be so incomplete and so full of flaws if we have been evolving for millions of years?"

In short:
1) Would've been much more enjoyable if it was categorized as Sci-fi
2) Way longer than it needs to be. It tries to also be a science book, but you soon realise, that not even the basic facts can be trusted.

Can't remember where I heard about this book, but I have to say, I'm a fan of the whole alien idea and added multiple "UFO" books to the reading list, just out of curiosity and trying to be open-minded. And this looked really good, since it touted to be based on real archeological "facts". So I jumped in...

And I can't tell you how disappointed I was when It even mentioned ESP and mind reading on a serious note, in the first few pages!
I did manage to get trough the first chapter, yet the 2nd was just too much. Though I did also read half of the last chapter, since the book asked so nicely to do that. But how can you trust anything the book has to say, when it states things like these, as facts:

1. Evolution happens in jumps, as opposed to Darwin's propaganda that it happens slowly over time.
- Literally impossible and makes 0 sense.

2. Todays Panspermia is accepted by majority of scholars.
- Ok, maybe true, but not in the way the author wanted it to be. There's a good chance that the needed molecules for life came from asteroid impacts.

3. The civilized "first" world decided the gap between them and the poor is so large, that there is no case for a "2nd world".
- Not really relevant to the main topic, but it's a good example of the books absurdity and the absence of fact checking. There are 2nd worlds, the PSSR satellite countries.

4. The Y-chromosome can be traced to the first common ancestor 200'000 years ago, which proves that we were genetically engineered.
- Again, absurd. That doesn't prove anything else, other than the last common male ancestor was somewhere around 200k years ago.

...And plenty more, that any scholar worth their salt could prove false. I'm just a random dude that likes reading random stuff, but this book caused way more pain and suffering than interest. The blatant misinterpretations and pushing of misconceptions was hard to ignore.

It baffles my mind, how some people can believe in genetically engineered Adam and Eve, but not the slowly evolving apes.

So the ancient aliens created these humans... and then waited thousands of years to teach them mining and how to build pyramids/civilisations? I'm sure that such advanced aliens would rather just use robots and mine all the gold they want.
Also, since they lived on a planet with constant volcanic activity, super dense atmosphere and extreme temperature changes (not sure how such a planet could even support life, but whatever), how could they survive on our planet, without some heavy technical gear (Descriptions saying that they looked like humans means they didn't use gear).

And it's all based on a loose tablet translations of a single guy (and surely his small team). Where every other scholar scoffs at the absurdity of his "interpretations". Sure, there's plenty of times when the 95% of the people are wrong, but it very rarely happens in science. Just as absurd as saying that climate change doesn't actually exist.

Some more good snippets from the book:

* If we get wiped out by a huge tsunami, some later civilization, 20'000 years later, might uncover our soap operas and decide that those were real people and events.
- So this means that some of our uncovered tablets and scripts might as well be ancient "soap operas", no? Since we're already aware that ancient humans loved art just as much as we did, if not more.

*"We have to stop making absolute statements about the past that are built on fragments of speculative knowledge by "experts" with personal issues."

AND NOT EVEN A PAGE LATER

"The time has come to accept at face value that we are not the pinnacle of civilization, that we are only now emerging from the cradle of knowledge, and that we need to face the facts of our genetically created origins"

lmao

I have no clue, how so many people truly believe the words in these books. This whole thing is a cult of belief. It truly makes me feel distraught, knowing that they can vote 🤡

Didn't want to rate so low a book that I haven't fully read, but then again, this is supposed to be my "personal" rating, so here we are.
