Not the most detailed when it comes to each of their tips, but the book is packed with practical and useful pointers... they explain it just enough to get their point across. I found it an easy read amidst all the chaos of being a first time parent. Most of the points were very helpful, especially for me, who doesn't have a big extended family with a bunch of parents that I can get pointers from.

This book was simple to read, and made basic points. Too basic. There was little actual information to be gleaned from the 1-3 page chapters, covering such topics as "Breastfeeding Can Be a Challenge." Three paragraphs on this topic is hardly informative.

Additionally, there is some dated information in the book, as it refers to things like making sure the sides are up on your drop-sided crib.

Since it was the first book I looked at about life after pregnancy, it was worth looking through. No earth-shattering information. It mostly gave me a few suggestions on topics and products to look into further. I was glad I got it from the library rather than spending the money.
