All steamed up and nothing to read? Best Women’s Erotica 2007 opens a Pandora’s box of pleasures, with scorching encounters, dreamy partners, and heart-pounding thrills that won’t put a run in your fishnets (and a few that will). I do not find that this is the best volume of erotic short stories ever compiled. For my standards it was a bit "lite". My preference of course would be to find erotica in the novel format but as others have mentioned that is in short supply. I have found however that there are other good groupings of stories that have a much wider range of portrayed scenes: Five Minute Erotica, Red Hot Erotica, and Luscious by Alison Tyler.

I'm not really qualified to review this book because erotica and romance are so not my genres, but I will say that it's interesting and that "Rhythm Like a Hearbeat" by Sophie Mouette was actually kind of cute. As the title promises, it's chock full of naughtiness, so if that's what you're looking for, you should totally check it out, but don't bother if it's a plot you seek. You'll find such a thing in short supply.

Short story anthologies are often a mixed bag and this one is no different.

I read all of the stories and some I liked a lot more than others. The stories I didn't like as much weren't bad, it more comes down to personal taste.

Definitely NOT HEA, some of the stories were fascinating, some just too weird for me - like "Chill."
