This book is very good and i would recommend. In this book there are three separate stories, the last one is the best and it is called i know what you did last Wednesday. This story is about two brothers who are not very good private detectives that are invited to spend a week on an island in a mansion with some old friends. One of them is murdered every night...

I feel like whenever an author writes a YA mystery story, the culprit always turns out to be that one, partially introduced character, which makes the story kind of obvious.

I JUST FINISH READING THE THREE OF DIAMONDS.I REALLY LIKED THAT BOOK.ONE REASON WHY I WILL SAY THAT LIKED THIS BOOK WAS BECAUSE IT IS ABOUT 3 DIFFERENT KIND OF MYSTERIES ALL IN ONE BOOK, AND YOU HAVE TO FIGURE OUT Who THE MURDERER IS.FOR INSTANCE ON PAGE 1,73,AND PAGE 143 THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT STORIES TELLING DIFFERENT MYSTERIES ALL AT ONCE.I LIKE The 3RD STORY BETTER BECAUSE ON PAGE 143 THERE WAS A DEAD MAN WHO WAS A RICH MAN NAME MR.MCDOUGAL LIVED ON AN ISLAND.BUT SOMEONE ON THAT ISLAND MURDERED HIM WITH A SWORD.THE MURDERER WAS A PERSON THAT USED TO BE IN THE SAME CLASS IN COLLEGE. SO THE MURDERER INVITED 7 OTHER PEOPLE FROM HIS CLASS TO COME ON THAT ISLAND SAYING HE WILL PAY THEM 1,OOO DOLLARS.SO WHEN THEY CAME THERE WERE BLOOD ALL OVER THE ROOM THAT MR.MCDUGAL WAS AT.THERE WERE BLOOD EVERY.SOON NICK DIAMOND SIMPLE FOUND OUT The MYSTERIES AND FOUND OUT THE MURDERER THAT KILLED HIS FRIENDS. IT WAS THE MAN Who BROUNG THEM TO THE ISLAND.
YOU WOULD LIKE THIS BOOK IF YOUR A PERSON THAT LOVE TO FIND OUT MYSTERIES ON THE CROCODILE ISLAND OR ANY KINF OF ISLAND With SOME CAMERAS ALL AROUND.I SAY THIS BECAUSE YOU NEVER NO IF SOMEONE IS WATCHING YOU FROM ANYWHERE.YOU WOULDN'T LIKE IF THAT WOULD HAPPEN TO YOU .OR YOU KNOW YOU WOULDN'T LIKE IT IF U SEEING YOUR FRIENDS BEING KILLED OR STAB RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. I KNOW I WOULDN'T LIKE IT. BUT ANYWAY THAT MIGHT HAPPEN IF YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE TRAPPED IN A HOUSE WITH A MURDERER INSIDE.
ONE BIG CHALLENGE Of THIS BOOK WAS THE LANGUAGE IN PARIS.IN PARIS THEY SPEAK ALOT OF FRENCH.ITS REALLY REALLY HARD TO READ ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE LANGUAGE OR OF WHAT THERE SAYING ON THE BOOK OR ANYWHERE ELSE.THERE ARE DIFFERENT MEANING TO THE WORDS .LIKE EVERY WORD HAS TO HAVE A MEANING.
I THINK NICK DIAMOND SIMPLE WAS THE MOST INTERESTING CHARACTER IN THIS BOOK. AT FIRST YOU MAY THINK THAT HES A THIRTEEN YEAR OLD THAT MAY LOOK STUPID AND ALL THAT BUT HES The BRAINS OF HIS FAMILY. NICK DIAMOND SIMPLE FOUND 5 BIGGEST CRIMES IN THE WORLD. ONE IN PARIS AND 4 IN LONDON.
NICK IS TO YOUNG FOR HIS AGE BUT HES The BRAVEST AND SMARTEST KID ALL IN LONDON OF COURSE.

I just finished reading Three Of Diamonds. One reason I really liked this book was because all the mysteries that were solved in the book. On page 66 Nick found out the first solution to the mystery about Lenny smile and also managed to get Hoover and Fiona to get arrested. They were in Londons biggest ferris wheels when they solved the mystery. On pg.136 Madame Erica Nice was the mad American, he knew because her name. She was getting drugs moved to London to Paris.

You would like this book if your the of person who likes mysteries. I say this because you never know when the killer or crime suspect is going to strike again or commet another crime. There lots of kidnapping, drugs, and blood in the scenes. You also grow to worry about if the killer going to strike at Nick because he is always not ment to be there, but he always to much. You will also like this book if you like a lot of action and weapons involved in it.

One challenge in this book was keeping track of the suspects. It is hard to work who is doing the crimes. They lots of weapons mentioned in the crimes.

I think Johnny Nadler is the most interesting character because his crime seen is very his crime very clever because he came in second in everything, so he killed them with the object they came first in the subject. He thought second place was bad and thats why he committed that crime.

I thought the book was really good. It was funny suspenseful and filed with twists and full of surprises. Someone named Carter hired two people named Tim and Nick. They kept me thinking about what was going to happen next. Tim was a funny character who had done everything wrong. They try to find out if Lenny Smile is actually dead.

My favorite character was Tim because he was funny and would always get them into trouble. The characters felt like they could have been out of a movie because no one wants to hire someone who is a horrible detective. This book you never knew what was going to happen next. SPOILER ALERT! my favorite part of the book was when Tim had picked up a knife that had killed the balloon man, then they are chased by clowns who had weapons and would walk on tight ropes. There were some scenes that were written really well that were describing every bit about what was happening in the story. This book made me laugh a lot because of Tim and al the stupid things he had done.

This book did not end on a cliff hanger. I did not find it difficult to care about a main character. This story was action, suspenseful, and comedic.

I thought this book was really good, anyone who likes funny action, and suspense then they would love this book.

In this book there are three different stories. I will be talking about the third story. In the book the main character Tim Diamond a private detective gets invited to a island with his old high school friends. Tim has to bring his little brother Nick along because there parents are in Australia. When they reach the house nobody is there so they start searching the house. When they walk into a room they see something that wish they never were here. All wired things keep happening to each person, this book is recommended to you if you like mystery and suspense. This story is about trust, friendship and violence.

Such a nostalgic read. I remember borrowing the individual copies from the library, Tim continues to be a pitiful dumbass who is a delight to read.

Tim and Alex are probably the people you would never recognize as detectives. Tim is the elder brother who would probably fail elementary school. Alex the little brother who’s still in middle school. Guess who always solves the mystery? That’s right, Alex. Even with their terrible reputation, the duo still manage to get caught up in the strangest and hardest mysteries. Despite their inexperience in martial arts and detecting in general, the duo have to persevere through all the challenges presented to them in order to achieve their goals. In my playlist, there are a myriad of songs that deal with this idea.

I chose Warrior by Demi Lovato because of the lyrics. As you may know, warriors have tough skins and seem to never fall. This describes the two brothers within my story. In a way, they are warriors too, and there’s no better example than the time they fought against a mob of angry performers with dangerous weapons. Lines in the song such as “Now I've got thicker skin” and “And you can never hurt me” definitely matches with my theme. This is why I chose this song.

I chose Get Back Up by tobyMac is a song about getting back up after losing your way. This happens a lot in mystery books such as this one. What’s more, in the lyrics, the song uses “we” instead of “I” which fits in because there are two main characters to my book, Tim and Nick. This song also has a positive tone to it, which also matches my theme, because you have to maintain a positive attitude even when you face a challenge.

I chose Hall of Fame by The Script because it’s about the possibilities that you could achieve through perseverance. If the main characters of my story didn’t have perseverance, they will never achieve “The Hall of Fame” as described in the song. The song uses the word “can” a lot, which means that if you persevere, it’s possible, but if you don’t, you are bound to fail. My characters had to achieve what they never thought they could to achieve enter the hall of fame, which they did by pushing past all the obstacles.

I chose Awake and Alive by Skillet because of two reasons; one is the song’s upbeat rhythm matches the mystery of my book, the other is the lyrics of the song. In the beginning of the song, the singer uses the words “They try to pull me into the dark” which reflects the story of my book. The culprits try to drag the detectives into the dark, where they don’t know what’s going on. “My strength is fading fast” represents how the mystery get’s more and more complex as time goes on. “You breath into me at last” means after all the confusion, the characters finally realize what is happening. “Awake”, which seems to be the theme of the song, also represents how the characters solved the mystery. That’s why I think the lyrics really match my theme and my story.

I chose Nothing is Impossible by Jah Cure because of the lyrics. This song explains how nothing is impossible, no matter how far away it seems. As long as it’s there, you can reach it. In my story, the goal is to figure out the mystery. For a good half of the book, the detectives had no clue as to what is going on, also facing many life-threatening situations. However, they still managed to figure it out. This song uses lines such as “You must endure the pain” and “Nothing, nothing is impossible”, which reflects perseverance, as there is always challenges when you are “reaching” your goal. This is why this song represents my the theme I have chosen.

I chose Fighter by WRLD. Although this song’s dynamics and voice is strange, it’s lyrics matches my theme and story. This song talks about how there is a fighter inside of you that always pulls you into the right path. When you are lost and feel like your about to fall, the fighter will help you find your way. “There is no coming back” meaning you have to go on, despite the difficulty. In this song, there are lines such as “He knows when you’re getting lost” and “Despite the lack of reserve”. That’s why this song matches my theme.

I chose Titanium by David Guetta because the song is about being “titanium”. Titanium is an extremely strong alloy that’s also quite light for a type of metal. That’s also why many planes are made using titanium. This reflects the theme of my book because if you are made of titanium, you can shrug off whatever is thrown at you. They lyrics of this song explain how theres this force that always “shoots you”, basically the unfortunately events that is thrown at the main characters of my book, but if you are made of titanium and have perseverance, you can get back up and reflect the bullets. This is why this song reflects my theme.

I chose Hero by Mariah Carey because the song about how you must cast away your fears and look deep inside yourself. When you do that, you will finally realize that you are an hero that can conquer anything. The line “With the strength to carry on” explains how when you finally realize who you are, you will find the strength to do anything. This song also has lines such as “Cast your fears aside” and “You know you can survive” which matches my theme really well, as perseverance is all about enduring and surviving. That’s why I chose this song to represent my theme.

I chose Up by Shania Twain because of the lyrics. In the song, the very first line is “It’s bout as bad as it could be”, which is usually where many people give up. In my story, that moment where “It’s bout as bad as it could be” is where they were threatened with flamethrowers, master knife-throwers, and elephants that will trample anything in their paths. However, this song takes a turn when it gets to “Up, up up, can only go up from here”, meaning now that you have persevered through the tough times, everything will start to be better. That’s where the mystery is finally solved and the two main characters slow down and relax until the next adventure. This is why I believe this song is related to my theme.

I chose When you Believe by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston because of two reasons. First, the song is sang by two pretty famous singers, who don’t usually sing together. In my book, there are also two detectives, Tim and Nick, which work together on their job. The second reason is the lyrics. This song’s lyrics represents my theme because it’s about continuing to believe even when “we know there is much to fear”. There is always something to fear, and sometimes they can be right in front of you, but you must continue believing and not give in to your fears. This is why this song represents my theme.

I would give it 2 and a 1/2 stars if I could but I can’t, so I’ll stick with 3. There are 3 stories in this book and if I had to rank them (worst to best) I’d say:
- the blurred man
- the Mad American
- I know what you did last Wednesday

To be completely honest, What you did last Wednesday carried this book for me. The mystery, the deaths and the reveal honestly made this short story one of my favourite murder mysteries. This has got a 3 star rating however for the other two. Though I loved the mystery of the Mad American it dragged towards tue middle and I couldn’t get through the Blurred Man, the mystery was too obvious for me. However I’m saying that, I am 18 and this book is written for children so that probably just me.

I read this book to finish off my “two books a month” aim as the previous book took a little longer than I thought. It’s good if you want short, easy to read mysteries that wrap up nicely and aren’t complicated or you want to introduce your child to the genre of murder mystery.

I'm reading the Book the Three of diamonds. Tim Diamond and his brother Nick have been trying to solve the case for weeks without a lead. they eventually find a ray of light after persevering thorough the past few weeks. If you persevere through your struggles you will be rewarded in the end. This is My Link
my link text I will talk about in this book review.

The first book I’ve chosen is Wonder. In this book a child (august) born with a very rare disorder, only 1 out of 4 million. He has been homeschooling since childbirth because of the multiple surgeries. When he reaches fifth grade his parents tell him to go to a public school for the first time. Unfortunately, when he reaches school he is hated by everyone because of his appearance. He tries to hide his face and eventually goes home crying. he says he doesn’t want to go back to school. His constant struggles through school have made him soft. His only refuge is his home. He eventually gets a friend named Summer. She is very nice to him and help him cope with with school and the bullies that bully august. Eventually August is accepted by the whole school and has many newer friends. An example is during Halloween when he wears his costume everybody loves him because they don’t know who is in the costume. This makes him very sad as now he knows that people do like him as long as they don’t see his face. After this he goes home and doesn’t come to school for a week. he then gets a call by his friend and he goes back to school. this is his struggle.

The second book I’ve chosen is The fault in our stars in the book two lovers love each other. Unfortunately, both of them is injured and one of them has a form of cancer. they bond immediately but since their time is so short because of their cancer they read each others favorite books. They try to track down the author with minimal success, they find the authors assistant and finally find the author, unfortunately when they went through all of their work they find a drunken author that hates them. They went through all of their work and they find a drunken author, eventually one of them dies but the other one meets the author again and he lets her finish the book and get rewarded for finding him.

The third book I the Maze Runner. When Thomas arrives in the glade his memory is wiped he can’t remember anything. He and the other Gladers have tried to escape the maze many tries without success. When Thomas arrives every changes the Gladers have spent years trying to figure out without success but when Thomas arrives he provides the missing link to the puzzle. He solves the mystery of the maze and leads the Gladers through a bloody battle. through all of their struggles through the maze they have made it through the maze and started a new life outside the Glade. Thomas and the Gladers have finally made it through the maze and started a new great life.

The forth Book I’ve chosen is Pendragon the pilgrims of Rayne. in this book Bobby has made a critical mistake. His enemy Saint Dane has used his mistake to his advantage. He has destroyed a city using bobby’s mistake. Bobby friend has changed history by accelerating technology and changing earths future. Saint Dane is about to destroy all of earth when Bobby preservers and destroys Saint Dane using his friend’s technology. After Bobby learns of his mistake he tells his friend to reset history and then earth goes back to normal and Saint Dane is Defeated and Bobby saves the world from his own mistake. Through all of his mistakes he has persevered and in the end killed he enemy.

The fifth Book I’ve chosen is The Hunger Games. In The Hunger Games Katniss must, the art of survival to survive in the arena. She almost decided to give up and die but she preservers through the book and eventually wins the games and saves herself. An example of her persevering is that she is running out of food in the arena so she decides to raid someone else supplies. she nearly accepts death but instead runs away and she gets always with all the food she needs.

The sixth book I’ve chosen is Among the hidden. In among the hidden the main character Luke is a third child in a society where only 2 children are allowed. He has been hiding the whole time but when another third child arrives to tell him their is a rebellion he is sold. He is determined to fight and win his freedom from the government he goes through 5 books worth of troubles before he and an army of third kids rise up and make the government give them right. Luke is finally free and his determination and perseverance has paid off and has given him freedom

Perseverance relates to the real world because in life you will never complete something if you never put time into the project. Most things you complete in life will have some sort of trouble that you need to persevere through and finish. If you use perseverance in life it will make you into a much better person in the future and a much harder worker in the future.

- I liked the length of the stories, I could just about read them each in one chunk. This made them great fun to read because I never stopped and forgot anything.
- Each story was really good, I thought that due to them being short they might be not as good as the others, but I'd go as far as to say they were better!
- I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the other books in the series, and to anyone who likes a good laugh.

This book is kind of interesting, it is about a detective on a case. This book wasn't that interesting to me, I hope if you read this review you would want to read this book. This is all about mystery and a little bit about violence. It goes from normal to crazy. This was very unpredictable when I read it. I hope you read this book.

Very fund reads (three of them). All of them are short enough that they are easy enough to figure out, but I definitely appreciated the last one which had a "And Then There Were None" vibe. Tim continues his tragic misunderstanding and Nick has his great quips. But it does come and go a little quick.

Found this book back at home! I have a separate copy of “I know what you did last Wednesday” which I read years ago (hasn’t been found as of yet), but I wanted to reread all three.

Very glad I did as I still thoroughly enjoyed them! Anthony Horowitz is still to this day one of my favourite authors - now I want his other Diamond Brother books!

My wife picked this up for me, not knowing it was a young adult story. Out of curiosity I picked it up and started reading it. Once started I felt compelled to finish. It consists of three short stories. Rather silly and almost Abbot and Costello like, still worth the small investment of time required to read.

I don’t know what to say about this book.
I was expecting something on the lines of the Three Investigators but this turned out completely different.

Won’t recommend to serious grown-ups.

Read the third story if you want a simpler(childish?) version of Christie’s And then there were none.

This is a great book that you should read. It is a mystery book based on Tim Diamonds private detective firm. Three of Diamonds is also three stories in one; therefore, the book is better than another book with only one story in it. Lastly, the book has a great plot to it always making you want to read more.
One of the reasons this is a great book is because it is a mystery. The Diamond brothers are always getting into trouble with criminals while trying to solve the mystery behind these criminals. This proves the book is a mystery, since they are solving the mystery. The main plot of the stories is a mystery that the brothers try to unravel. This shows the book is a mystery is the plot of the stories is meant to be a mystery.
Secondly, the book is three stories in one book. This is great since you can read more stories and the Diamond brothers without getting lots of books. In the first story they investigate a charity who's leader has a sudden death right before a donater wants to meet him. In the second story they travel to Paris and get kidnapped and escape before learning the identity of the Mad American who threatened their lives. The third story is the story of a man who always came second in his classes and wants revenge on all of the other students who beat him in a subject. Tim Diamond along with 8 others from his school meet up at a private island and then people start dying.
Finally, the book has a great plot making you always wanting to read more. While reading the third story you always want to keep reading to find out which of the once students is the killer. This shows there is a great plot by keeping you entangled in the story. Also, in the first story every time you turn the page you learn of a new concept or person involved in the killing of the charity's founder. This shows the book has a great plot by making you want to see what is next to be added to the case about the charity.

The book Three of Diamonds by Anthony Horowitz is a book with three medium-length stories. It is a mystery book about Nick Diamond, and his inept older brother Tim, who happens to be a private detective. Nick lives with his brother because his parents decided to migrate to Australia. In “The Blurred Man”, the Diamonds are asked to investigate the death of the director of a charity. They are faced with many obstacles in the form of an angry Russian Circus and bitter Police detectives. In “The French Confection”, Nick and Tim are caught in the middle of a drug smuggling operation after winning a trip to Paris. I chose this book because it is part of a series, and I liked the other book I read from it. In “I Know What You Did Last Wednesday”, Tim is invited to a small High School reunion but is faced with his most deadly case yet when the guests are killed off one at a time. The book is very well written, because it is clever, and uses language that is easy to understand to describe a confusing topic. I liked it because the plot has many twists and turns and unfolds very unexpectedly. The third story in the book is a lot like Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None because it is set on an island far away from civilization, where there is no way to communicate with the outside world, and the characters are killed off one by one. I loved this book and recommend it to anyone who likes mysteries.

Anthony Horowitz made me very intrigued with his amazing book called "Three of Diamonds." Three of Diamonds was so mysterious and made me want to keep reading because I love mysteries. I love when the red herring comes in place ad when they think they have the serial killer it turns out that it was one of their old friends.
I think that one of the most clever ways that the guests were killed was by what they got first place in at high school. Also when they figured it out who the killer was, he was about to kill the dumb private eye (the main character) but his younger brother figured it out so when he was about to fall to his death the brother saved him in the nick of time. Next there was an assassin who was after an important Ambassador from Russia and their was a good spy who knew when and where he was going to kill him. The spy was going to tell the Ambassador but the assassin found out and almost killed him. The spy ran into the private eye's office and told him his story and asked to use the phone. Turns out that Timothy (the private eye) was to poor to afford a phone and the spy almost killed him.
I recommend this book to people who love a good mystery. Three of Diamonds is a book that will keep you at the edge of your seat trying to put the pieces together to find the bad guy. I liked this book because I love to get my nose stuck into trouble and so do these two brothers. it was very believable and unpredictable.

Anthony Horowitz, Crime/Mystery. I really liked it, one of the best books I have read! Tim Diamond is one of the worst private decetives ever. His brother Nick is much better. In the first story Tim and Nick find themselves trying to figure out if Lenny Smile's death was planned. Turns out that Lenny Smile doesn't exist. In the second story Tim wins a trip. On the train ride there a cousher tells them to watch out for the Mad American. He also gives Tim a bag of sugar. They end up getting chased by two crazy men with a knife. They end up in jail and are questioned. They are let go and go back to their hotel. Their hole room was trashed. They hide the bag of sugar that the mad men wanted. They are later kidnapped and were about to die. Then the cops find them. In the third story Tim is invited to go to his old school friends house. When they get there they find the host dead. Then on in they week more people start to die. Tim and Nick have to find out who is the murder. I really liked the third story the most.

Over this quarter I had read Three of Diamonds by Anthony Horowitz. I really liked this book because it was very suspenseful, puzzling and funny. This book is about two brothers that are private detectives and everybody wants to kill them. The first mystery is about this man that got killed by a steamroller named Lenny Smile. The second mystery is about when the brothers go France and they are sucked into another mystery about drugs. The third mystery is about a murderer that kills all of the older brothers friends.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this book a 9.5. I would recommend this book to someone that likes suspense. This book is like you are actually trying to find the mystery. When I read this book I related it to Sherlock Holmes. This was a very good book and I think that you should read it to.

1) I enjoyed the book Three of Diamonds because the author puts three stories in one. For example the Blurred Man. It is about how a made up man who makes money and gives it to children. Another story is the French Confection is when Nick and Tim win a vacation to Paris. They have to stop drug dealers. The last story is I Know What you did Last Wednesday is about how there is a class gather up and 7 people get killed by a jealous person.

2) You would like this book if you like good mysterys. I say this because this book is about a boy who tries to solve hardcore , life threating mysterys and he has to do it with his brother(The worst Private detective).

4) One charcter Mark in I Know What you did Last Wendesday is quick to make a comment about somebody saying he did something. People thought he was the killer and he got super mad.
