Anyone who thinks he can beat the market is a fool and anyone that does beat the market, however consistently, is a very lucky man. Definitely imposes a cautious investment mentality when it comes to growing long-term wealth.

I’ve been in the stock market for over 20 years but only started indexing for the past year. Wish I had known about it earlier and been smarter about passive investing. The book is in line with all the other books I’ve read about indexing although it takes a much broader view to explain the stock market and why trying to beat the market is a fool’s game that costs investors money and feeds Wall St.
