A fiery red haired con artist, her wolf lady bodyguard, and a Scottish accented engineer. These are the three characters that make up Love Enterprises, a traveling group of essentially pirates, that trick primitive worlds into paying tithes to false gods. This story was an fast paced space opera filled with wit, and vivid page turning action. There's a distinctive old west feel, much like that of Firefly, yet there's plenty of gizmos and gadgets to go around. On top of that it featured one of the best villain deaths of all time, which I won't spoil here. In a way it's got the cool characters one might find in an Elmore Leonard novel, but placed in a richly engaging Sci-fi universe.
