This book is a classic for software process improvement. HP came up with this idea and published its results and the process, which are still relevant today. This is not quite Six Sigma, but essentially is using data to evaluate its process. I am reading Watts Humphrey's book on Personal Software Process which goes with collecting data on the software development life cycle.
