This book has very detailed descriptions of the fundamental elements in figure skating - edges, turns, spins and jumps. For almost all elements there are pictures of skaters performing them, but I think some of the pictures were not well timed and therefore not as helpful as they could be. Sometimes I got lost in the walk through of the elements because they are really detailed. It is useful to take notes while reading this book. I really like this book because it's pretty comprehensive with all of the biggest figure skating moves. However, it still doesn't have a lot of the more unusual moves that would be really helpful in a book like this. I would also have liked to know what kind of off-ice training is suggested for each move. Still a valuable resource for a beginner/intermediate freestyle skater.
