The title says it all. Everything offensive and strange; decadent, pornographic, scatalogical, surreal, dadaist, and horrorific. Freaks, psychos, and weirdos. Perfect coffee table sized book to offend everyone. I bought this remaindered when I was about 12 and have treasured it ever since. Half of it I didn't even understand then. I cannot believe they sold it to me.

Wild, weird, wonderful, whacky. Barry Humphries shows another side to Dame Edna. His love of kitsch is well known, but he would be equally at home in late 19th century decandent Paris, drinking absinthe with Huysmans or Oscar Wilde. This is an encyclopaedia of decadence I bought as a teenager, and I've never looked back since then. If you like spanking nuns,or want to mutilate the Mona Lisa, then this is the book for you. Warning: contains nuts.

Gorgeous 60s collage-book of Decadent, Surrealist, and plain-curious prose and caricature. Teratology, potatoes, rococo erotica, circumcision, magick, creatures of science fiction, the motion of the body after beheading. Should sit side-by-side with Romi's Histoire de l'Insolite and especially Bizarre magazine (Losfeld/Pauvert/Laclos version). Jarry, Huysmans, Mirbeau, Hearn.

Also, this was edited by Dame Edna.
