I bought this book, even though it was a little more than I wanted to pay. Sadly, it did not live up to my expectations. Several designs are based on Carol Endres' and Warren Kimble's artwork, but even these didn't grab me. The designs are cutesy and not primitive enough for me. I prefer the work of Judy Taylor and find it more inspiring and original.
Pg 24: She gives a test for woll content. Put a sample into a class of chlorine bleach over night. It it is disolves it is wool , if a few threads remain then it is a little less. This would be a good way to test old carpets you want to put over weeds to kill them off. Pf 28: The "marry method to dye multi colors into one color. Set a pot to medium high with detergent, simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add 1/3 cup of white vinegar simmer 15-20 minutes. Pg 39: has tem tips for hooking. Along with 18 projects.
