-i checked out a bunch of kitchen books from the library to look for ideas for backsplashes. this book had only 17 pages in that chapter and wasn't helpful there.
-i also peaked at the under-sink organizers section and saw an under-sink rubber mat made to catch any leaks. i've been afraid to put anything in the new cabinet under my new kitchen sink in case there is a leak and i miss it. i googled and there's a whole bunch of different kinds of undersink mats out there!
By far the best book on kitchen make-overs that I’ve read. It includes technical things for the do-it-yourselfer such as installing lighting, kitchen appliances, and flooring, but is also extremely useful for the variety of products and ideas shown. In the back of the book is a reference list by page for product sources. Unfortunately lacks photos of kitchens with vaulted ceilings. The chapter on storage options was my favorite.
as usual, I'm amazed at how some people define "affordable". Other than that, I found a couple of ideas I might be able to modify for my (more realistic) budget.
A really nice book and fun to look at but, to me, affordable is something I may be able to do myself. The upgrades seemed more elaborate than that. Affordable is relative, I know.
