এটা আমেরিকার শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা নিয়ে। সো এ নিয়ে বিশেষ কিছু বলার নেই। (বিষয় বলতে গেলে একটাই, Abstinence VS Safe Sex) এ বইয়ের লো রেটিং এর কারণ এর লেখক। লেখায় নিজস্বতা বলতে গেলে কিছু নেই। সাংবাদিক মানুষ তো, ডেটা কালেক্ট করেছে আর সাজিয়ে দিয়েছে।
যেটা আগে জানতাম না, Two Weeks of Parenthood। ব্যাপারটা হচ্ছে, দুই সপ্তাহের জন্য স্টুডেন্টদের একটা পুতুল দেয়া হয়। প্রোগ্রাম করা। পুতুলটার যত্ন নিতে হবে, একে খাওয়াতে হবে, এর ডায়াপার পরিবর্তন করতে হবে, সময়মত ঘুম পাড়াতে হবে, খেলতে হবে এর সাথে। মানে সত্যিকারের বাবা-মার মত ব্যবহার করতে হবে। এখন একে যদি ঠিকমত খাওয়ানো না হয় তবে এ কান্না শুরু করে দিবে, দিন-রাত তার জন্য কোন ব্যাপার না। তখন খাওয়াতে হবে মানে মুখে চাবি দিতে হয়। এবং এটা নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত রাখতে হয়। যদি এর আগেই খুলে ফেলে তবে আবার কান্না শুরু করে দিবে।
এটার কারণ কী? টিনদের মধ্যে প্রেগনেন্সির হার বেশ উদ্বেগজনক। এটার মধ্যে দিয়ে তারা যেন বুঝতে পারে, বাচ্চা পালন ব্যাপারটা কত পরিশ্রমের কাজ।
