In less than a decade, social media has changed the way millions of people keep in touch with friends, read the news and share interests. Not engaging in these new types online social messaging can really keep a person out of the loop. The Rough Guide to Social Media for Beginners covers business, leisure and everything in between. The book focuses on the two most popular — and personal — forms of social Facebook and Twitter. The guide walks readers through setup and maintenance and provides them with the skills needed to make pages lively and relevant to the people they know or work with, as well as the people they're about to meet.
The Rough Guide to Social Media for Beginners is an excellent book for the newbie to social media. I found it very informative, and it contains a lot of step-by-step pointers with wonderful helpful pictures.
Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ are all touched upon enough to give even the greenest computer wiz the confidence to start using them.
I highly recommend this book for youth, adults, and seniors that may want to start working in these social media realms. It may also be helpful for the intermediate user to hone their skills.
Despite having been on social media for more years then I'd like to count, I still found this to be a pretty informative read. definitely worth having a glance through if you are new to the online social world.
A basic introduction to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Google+ and several others. Useful guide, especially in relation to security, although this had already changed in some sites since the book was written...!
Ik ben weer even mee ! Maar tegelijk : al die sociale netwerken samen zijn teveel, tijdsconsumerend enzovoort. Anderzijds hebben ze allemaal hun sterke punten....
Great book. Easy to follow. Love the pocket-size. Covers information for personal and business purposes. Tons of great tips with easy to understand lingo without all the techno babble.
