New York, Hollywood...Pregnant? If her landlady's cat hadn't gone missing and Connor Brody had bothered to return her messages asking for help in the search, Daisy Dean wouldn't have been sneaking around his garden at night - and he would never have caught her in her underwear! The uber-fabulous Heidi Rice contacted me asking if I would like to review this, her latest release. Naturally I said yes! And Heidi, as always, many thanks.

This is actually a newly packaged re-issue of two of Heidi's previous books - 'Hot-Shot Tycoon, Indecent Proposal' & 'Public Affair, Secretly Expecting' AKA 'Walk of Fame'. I had previously read both of these titles but, believe me, it was no hardship to re-read them! Public Affair, Secretly Expecting was actually the first book of Heidi

This was a free book from Goodreads First Reads.

This was a fast read, easy to pick up where you left off. The girls are best friends and work together and their guys are estranged brothers so there is continuity throughout the two stories. The plot was very predictable but everyone loves a happy ending. This is a good book for traveling or taking to the beach. I would read more of Ms Rice's books.

Two great reads in one. The stories of two couples, Conner and Daisy and Mac and Juno. The Brody brothers, Conner and Mac are the creation of Heidi Rice and they are two memorable Irish heroes. What is more, Heidi has succeeded in putting the Irish hero right up there with the Greeks and the Sheikhs - they are every bit as fanciable. The wonderful thing about both Conner and Liam is that although they come from a background of abuse, they have not become abusive themselves - simply reserved and ...more

Hot and just what I was in the mood to read. Both stories feature strong characters who have an immense attraction to each other, yet have perceived male heroes (brothers)who have problems with love. I love the characters, the tension and heat between them, and how strong willed the heroines are.

I loved the first story but felt the second one was basically the same as the first so a little disappointing there. But it was a good read and the first half I read in one go!

Shelves: dnf
Unfortunately, the information regarding this set ended up being a bit misleading. In the first story, the heroine doesn't realise she's pregnant until the last couple of chapters. In the second book, the heroine and hero don't even sleep together for about 5 chapters. I wanted unplanned pregnancies galore with this set and it wasn't what I got. This was a DNF for me because of that.

My name's Heidi Rice, I'm a USA Today Bestselling author. I'm married with two teenage sons (which gives me rather too much of an insight into the male psyche!). I also work as a film journalist and I was born in Notting Hill in West London (before it became as chi-chi as it is in the film starring Hugh Grant!) and I now live in Islington in North London - a stone's throw away from where they shot ...more
