Well written and an easy read - great for beginning home recordists. While the narrative is geared toward making a "demo" recording at home (which has become possibly a bit outdated now that pro level home recording is easily achievable), this book is chock full of practical information and tips that can help anyone recording at home more quickly get up the learning curve to achieve satisfying results. Based on being written in 1994, it is out of date as far as the recording technology itself (assuming you're recording in a DAW/computer now), but still very useful as far as the techniques while walking you through the preparation and recording and mixing processes. Recommended.
