I was crying most of this issue.
So yeah it seems that the demons do remember their world but they would like to forget it because it was so horrible, so what we saw the appeal to want to cross the door was actually all fake, they are the ones who feel blessed to be in our world not the other way around.
Bode dies and gets cremated made me mad really he could have been saved, should have been the first thing they did, but they bring him back as an echo, can echoes grow old? Yeah it feels like bode might continue his life as a child along with Rufus.
Speaking of Rufus the locke family will take him in to live with them i think that is the least thing they could do after giving him that big scar on his face.
Erin voss gets all her memories back, and can finally live.
Jordan's father is an asshole, he never knew his daughter and he is a lier and a fake, i can't believe he lied about her like that when she just died.
Kinsey and her boyfriend say goodbye to scot and Jamie with a song.
Its just a great ending, a great closure, thank you joe hill for the spectacular story and for Gabriel for bringing it into life.

This is a review of the entire series.

The story follows the Locke siblings; the curious young Bode, his rebellious sister Kinsey and his mature brother Tyler. After their father is tragically murdered in a mysterious home invasion, they move to their ancestral home in Lovecraft (a very suitable name for the hellish place they're moving into) with their alcoholic mother. The Locke house holds many strange secrets, keys that unlock forbidden powers and ancient evils never meant to be released. It turns out that the murder of the Locke family's father may not have been a coincidence. There are higher forces at play, manipulating the living from the shadows and orchestrating the downfall of the entire world.

This was a great surprise. I've been reading manga my entire life, but I confess that I never got into American comics and graphic novels (until now that is.) This series managed to win me over and open up an entire new medium of fiction to me. I was impressed by how realistic and human the characters are, there are so many unique people that are developed with utmost respect and is an example of diversity done extremely well. It really does rival the best of Stephen King and other big horror writers of the same ilk. It's got body swapping, spirit battles, mind-bending powers, ghosts and demons, heavy metal culture, blood and guts, tears and trauma, it's a thrilling ride all the way through.

Every volume packed a handful of punches. Volume 4 was the weakest of the series but even that one had a strong finish that eventually led to an even stronger ending. Suffering and grief is portrayed with rich emotion. The character development is moving. The villain is merciless and is actively involved with the plot at all times. All the side characters play a big role in the climactic finale and they all get the satisfying resolutions they deserve. Great series.

The only issue in the series with a spine

I acquired the entirety (at the time) of this series after reading Joe Hill's "Wraith" which was MAGNIFICENT. This title isn't unless you can stomach constant predictability and "deus ex machina" whenever the family gets themselves in an impossible situation.

The high points are the mother, the daughter and 2-3 perimeter characters who are very well formed and dynamic.

Part 2 Done.
Clever. Wrapped up perhaps a little too neatly. Still a great series, I really enjoyed it. Wish there was more. Side adventures with the keys and family. On to the TV Series, let's see what that brings.

I might cry, but maybe sometimes later, Stupid people just cremate Bode's body well Thanks to Ty lot of things get better. This was a great finale and action was the last issue this issue was all about settings things better, Erin also got most of her memories back and she gets to leave the mental institute because the world was no longer just white. And this series was awesome will read the stand-alone issues and The Golden Age later. Till then Keep on Reading.

I have always loved comics, and I hope to always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

I really enjoyed reading the story of the Lockes and I have to admit I wasn't expecting this solution for saving Bode. I thought he was going to take back his own body.
It's usually really hard for me to read an entire collection of comics it's not the kind I prefer but this one was different, the story, the atmosphere. Everything gave me the willingness to continue.

This series may have just set the bar as to what a hauntingly beautiful story can be told in comic book form. I quickly read all of the comics and enjoyed the entire series. The conclusion is perfectly well done and I would definitely read other things by this team of people. Highly recommend!

The final volume in Hill & Rodriguez' wonderful Locke and Key series is a bit of a letdown. And that's primarily because it feels like an epilogue, or just the tying up of loose ends. That's a function, I think, of the odd publishing schedule of the final volume of "Alpha & Omega."

The resolutions contained herein are adequate and expected, but they seem to occur in a vacuum as there's no conflict to resolve in the issue itself (there's loads of conflict in previous issues).

To bring this full-geek-circle back, it's kind of like having the final battle in Star Wars or Lord of the Rings take place, victory achieved, but then having to wait another year for Darth Vader's funeral pyre or the return to Bag-End and have those sequences take place entirely on their own.

That catharsis has to occur right after (or close to) the big victory to be effective. Otherwise, all the emotions the reader feels following the big victory are lost in the subsequent months. That's what happened here.

We couldn't have asked for a better--though sad--ending. Or epilogue. Coz that's what this is. Please, NO SPOLIER ALERT! The problem with coming to the end of series, especially when you're late to the party is you feel a little detached, the separation anxiety feels remote, a forgone conclusion, but still it hurts just the same. When done right, a book this good would kill you to come to its end ten years after the run officially ended. So, yeah, I'm happy I got a good story out of it all, sad it couldn't go any further. But then again, that is the magic of a good story, it ends. And another one begins... Hmmmn, which one I wonder? For now I'll have to be content with Road Rage, that's pretty much the only Joe Hill comic I'm yet to read. Oh, and the novels of course. Well, on to the next one.

With this finale the adventure ends. For the time being.
SPOILERS:

There is a happy ending which could have happened without the initial pages focusing on Bode's death since he eventually comes back. Just thought instead Hill could have used the pages to show us what happens a year down the line.

Anyway its been a great ride, thank you Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. One of the best graphic novel collection which is very highly recommended.
