More than three hundred photographs, illustrations, and diagrams, accompanied by step-by-step instructions, take readers through the most common repairs around the house, covering everything from how to use tools safely to such interior and exterior repairs as windows, doors, floors, tile, molding, painting, electricity, plumbing, and more. Original. 12,000 first printing.
Skimmed through this in search for a good home maintenance reference. Though I liked that there were illustrations, I felt the attempt at being cute with catchy wording made the book hard to navigate as a reference. Despite being a book for "idiots" the author also uses technical terms and though he defines the terms, it makes for too much work to easily understand the advice he's giving. I found "The Home Problem Solver" by Don Vandervort to be more helpful and accessible.
