Skimmed through this in search for a good home maintenance reference. Though I liked that there were illustrations, I felt the attempt at being cute with catchy wording made the book hard to navigate as a reference. Despite being a book for "idiots" the author also uses technical terms and though he defines the terms, it makes for too much work to easily understand the advice he's giving. I found "The Home Problem Solver" by Don Vandervort to be more helpful and accessible.
