No one is going to stop him from claiming his wife.
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
I would normally not rate this book as I have nothing nice to say about it. So I can say this nice thing about this book and that is the fact that the torture ended and the book ended. I would give it less then one star, but GR will not let me. Let me get to how terrible this sh@& book was. Please excuse my swearing in this review. I can't believe I wasted almost two hours of my life one what I can only describe as a piece of garage. The "hero" and I use that term very loosely, was a major asshole! Not only does he marry her to help her out but he continues to cheat on her but all this time he suppose to loves her. Now I could understand if she was only 18 but she is 22 and he is pushing 40 then at the end he is 45 and still will not have children with her because they need more time together he says!!! Really you know each other all your life and you don't really want kids. Why can't guys be honest about that shit!!! He is not going to be able to get out of his marriage if he has kids with her. Also, let's not forget she is now over 27 what is he waiting for?! I will tell you... His midlife crisis!!! He will leave her high and dry at the first time he get a chance cause his real type of woman is a skinny bitch and I don't care what people say. You don't sleep with one type for 40 years without liking it. That would be stupid and the "hero" is not stupid. This feel like a fake ass relationship to me. He really wanted her? I call bullsh:$! I did not feel the love at all in him. He just wanted his cake and eat it too!!! I would avoid this book because he cheats, he has no real commitment to the heroine, and she is the world worst wishy washy heroine that ever lived!!! Omg please "I want a divorce" "please I want you to f@&$ me" seriously. That's it! I am done with this!!! It is hit and miss for me so far anyways with this author.
These are my thoughts as unpopular as they are and if you don't agree with them just don't comment and like!

To me this was a very out of touch with reality book…it completely sucked and was a huge waste of my time…the saying is really true when they say "You Can't Judge a Book by It's Cover"…in my totally honest opinion this "Sam Crescent" should not be writing romance novels … Note to Sam You SHOULD REALLY GET A NEW JOB BECAUSE YOU SUCK AT THIS ONE…
This book was out of touch with reality in regards that the main character Opal seemed to be really stupid …and i mean really stupid about sex …like never had a formal education 3rd world country kind of shit…she's from England…and she's being pressured by her parents and brother to getting married to a guy named Charles …when she's 20…and she's a virgin(not that this is not possible just that it seems really unlikely now a days)…the author seems really exaggerated in a sense of purity…so the book starts out in the church and she's about to get married when she's saved by Tony…and ends up having to marry him…I mean in this day and age i would think a woman had a say in who she married but i guess this author still hasn't heard the news …so she ends up getting married…then it skips to 2 years later…she's still married to Tony…(In name only they were never together sexually)…and she's being all nostalgic about everybody being hooked up and she's still a 22 year old virgin…(again not a bed thing but if i was fake married i think i would have hooked up with somebody by now…gotten a boyfriend or something …maybe have gone out on a date) but no she's just like why am i alone…because she only goes out with Tony when they have a formal event …but then Tony thinks she's acting weird and goes after her and they make out and that totally changes him from not wanting to be married to wanted to hook up with her but at the same time not wanting to …so its just weird in my opinion…in the mean time you find out that he basically stocks her by have her followed this whole time they were married…and even though he doesn't want her he's still doesn't want her with another man making her life…okay so this whole time to they have been married and he supposedly has never been with anybody else in the whole 2 years… like no sex at all…really fake…i mean would you not have sex because you are fake married to someone?…but they have him linked to this one model named Rita and she's like super glue on him…and everybody compares Opal to Rita calling her fat…but on the cover they have this playboy looking chick with a rocking body..so she cant really look that fat right…like really hot guys would really hook up with a huge fat chick right?…well he supposedly does…but to me she looked hot on the cover…so i don't know …really big contrast…trying to sell more of her crappy books i guess cause if it hadn't had that cover i wouldn't have bother to read it…but back to the point…so this whole time she finally decides she wants to be nice and be like okay lets get a divorce just cause i'm not really married to you …and she sends him the divorce papers…then they look like they are about to really get divorced…and she ends up going to her parents house to chill and eat dinner with them but its really a set up with That Douche of Charles the guy she was supposed to get married in the start of the book…her parents start pressuring her …then Tony shows up to save her…so then they get to where he finally wants her in the book and they end up going on a honeymoon which they never had and try to make the marriage real…THIS SCENE IS JUST REALLY ANNOYING TO READ BECAUSE THE AUTHOR MADE OPAL STUPID AND THE SCENE IS REALLY FAKE IN THEORY…THEY BASICALLY JUST MAKE OUT AND "TALK FOR LIKE THREE DAYS "…SHE BASICALLY DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SEX… LIKE LIVING IN A BOX IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN KIND OF EDUCATION…then we move on to Tony's problem …he and his mom have been beat by his abusive father his whole life and he thinks he's going to turn out like him…talk about daddy issues…go get some counseling or something…THEY ARE FINALLY GETTING SET UP IN THE HOUSE TOGETHER AND THEY START TO HAVE SEX AND SHE'S LIKE I WANNA GIVE YOU HEAD …THEN SHES LIKE I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE IN MY WHOLE LIFE BEFORE LIKE EVER NOT EVEN IN A BOOK OR ON THE INTERNET…SHE DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHAT A PENIS LOOKS LIKE …REALLY 3RD WORLD…NO INTERNET KIND OF EDUCATION…I MEAN THEY HAVE BOOKS AND YOU CAN JUST LOOK IT UP ON THERE OF ON A COMPUTER …AND SHES SUPPOSED TO BE RICH SO YEAH RIGHT SHE COULDN'T LOOK IT UP … REALLY IN TOUCH WITH REALITY…then they end up having rough sex in one of the scenes and he ends up bruising her and really freaks out…wow bet he doesn't like hickey's either…then he goes to a hotel and gets hammered …and somehow this Rita chick just pops right back into the book…and acts like they were sleeping together…REALLY FAKE…but then they have Opal "catch them in the act"…cause she was gonna surprise him and what she really finds is a fake sex scene but she believes it and runs out on him…she sends him the divorce papers again and he wont sign them…really fake because now a days people can get divorces even though the other person doesn't want to get one…then like 3 months later her sister-in-law has an accident and he basically just uses that opportunity to make her forgive him...when they write on the official description "Tony Hunt will not take no for an answer. No-one is going to stop him from claiming his wife" they actually mean that he just cried at the end literally and made a scene ...asking her to forgive him...i like how they made it sound all macho though ...beat that wasn't the author who wrote that review because it actually sounded like a good book then.
The End…don't waste your time on this book guys ... and sorry but i got out of order a bit
I skimmed. The writer has issue with curvy women. She always has a girl with weight issues as a heroine. The bad thing is that her heroines are not comfortable with their weight . They are simply women with eating disorders that can’t keep themselves from eating and putting on weight and feels very insecure about their looks. I mean, if a woman is ok with her weight, even when is over the standard ones, why should it be a problem to me? It’s that all her heroines feel less if they compare themselves to the women the hero has been dating. So does this heroine. She has been in love with the hero for years but since she was too young he never considered her, then he married her to save her from a marriage with an unpleasant man, but he refused to even sleep with her. So she thinks she’s too fat to be attractive for him, while he was lusting after her for two years. After two years she decides she’s had enough and she wants a divorce, but he refuses and gives in to his lust and love for her. That’s all. Sex and sex and again sex because the author wants us to believe he finds her the sexiest woman he had in all his life. Pity that before her he dated skinny model wearing 0 size and borderline anorexic. So why all this fuss? Why not simply make a hero who loves women with curves? There are many. My brother is one of them, he always preferred women with big breasts and ample hips, never even looked at the slimmer ones, so it makes sense. But why picture a hero who always ever had skinny women but the heroine? It seems that he loves skinny girls but makes an exception for the curvy heroine. The book is not against fatphobia, it has the opposite effect. It shows even overweight girls can sometimes attract men that prefer skinny women.
I had liked this story years ago when I read it and I still do but the writing itself is not that great. Maybe it was one of the authors first efforts. I still like the story about him falling in love with her but all the talk of her being fat annoyed me. I am glad they had a happily ever after and an epilogue in the future with babies. And I liked the fact he was celibate for the two years they were married. I don't get why he still went out on dates then?? And he never really told her that he hadn't been with anyone. Just off a little. Not fleshed out.
See, there's a VERY clear theme in all of Ms Crescent's stories. The man is older, wealthy and in love with a YOUNGER woman. The woman is young, innocent and forced to spend time with the man. They then have a series of intimate scenes... and at the end the woman is also hopelessly in love with the man.
Honestly? I don't like giving bad reviews... BUT HONESTLY? The least this book could've given me is an eye-opening scene in which the author makes it clear to the reader that age does not matter... but that scene never came. I got the same story from book one... sex scenes on a weak storyline... where's the character development? The dramatically riveting scenes? Or the growing love? I'll tell you where its not...
this book sucked... and i've read some really sucky books.. but seriously this one takes the cake! i normally ignore reviewing the bad harlequin type books.. i mean no one expects harlequins to end up in a favourite shelf anyway! but atleast the other authors can write. this one just seemed like a wattpad user! and honestly i'm done with reading teanagers trial and error version of books.. a waste of my precious day!
Tony and Opal have been in each other's lives for awhile since Tony is best friends with her older brother (he has his own story if you wanna read). Stubborn protective possessiveness alpha male Sweet sassy curvy gal Sexx Anal play No cheating Drama (tons) Hea Epilogue
In book 3 of the Unlikely in Love series we get Opal,Richard from book 2 sister and Tony, Richard's best friend's story. Opal has always loved Tony but knew he would never want her so at 18 Opal finds herself about to wed Charles a man she hates but a man her parents feel will help them in the business world. Until Tony stops the wedding by agreeing to marry her himself. Fast forward 2 years and Opal is all alone with only tabloids to read about Tony and his many woman. Now Opal realizes that it is time to let Tony go, that he did her a favor by marrying her and that he needs a favor in return and she will do that by granting him a divorce. When Tony finds this out he is furious because Tony does want Opal and has out of respect for his best friend left her alone. But now Tony is done He want's Opal and will get Opal and show her how he has wanted her these 2 years. In Claiming His Wife we get what Sam Crescent does best we get a hot possessive hero who won't let go of what he wants and will take what he wants when necessary. The only negative(spoiler) was that Tony never explains to Opal that he hasn't been with anyone since there marriage started. I didn't understand why he didn't explain to her that that was the case and before I found this out was about to throw my kindle into a wall. I love Sam's books and always know if I'm looking for a hot quick read that she is an author I can always turn to.
I read this a few years ago, and I think my standards for a H have greatly improved since then. I guess cutting my romance novel teeth in the 80's made me expect the H to be a jerk to the h. What really bugs me about the H, isn't so much the idea that he was unfaithful , but that he rubbed her face in it. Letting his past lover paw him and dancing with her in front of the h. Really makes me grind my teeth! And she doesn't call him on it! It's mental abuse, the way he treated her like she was nothing but an ornament in his house. So down from 3 stars to 2 because, even if he did grovel well (at long last!).
Oh my. The hero's groveling here is so epic! The story isn't the best thing in the world, it's a fairly common "marriage of convenience" storyline but Tony (hero) stole my heart. I also loved that the heroine actually left. She was fed up and hurt and so she left plain and simple. And she left because she genuinely wanted to leave, not because she wanted to be chased, which I found so refreshing!
I have never really been into the alpha-dominant hero who has to always have his way and never takes no for an answer. It just seems sort of borderline abusive. I especially hated the heroine, who complained about being controlled and manipulated by her family but posed no objection to her husband's control over her.
What go in mind of asshole men like tony to hurt bold innocent girl like opal his best friend sester.all the tortue end in the hapy end.they cant explane there fealing or understand that even to end.realy life very short what awost to go without love.
This is whole story is pretty unbelievable. It’s not well fleshed out either. The H desperately needed to do some heavy groveling and I still think I wouldn’t have been able to forgive him.
He interrupted her arranged marriage ceremony and *begrudgingly* ends up marrying her though the reasons for her arranged marriage and why someone has to marry her are left bewilderingly vague.
From there he dumps her in a house and ignores her while she seems him dating models and actresses in the magazines. Lovely, huh? He goes on to to tell the reader that the weekly phone calls he insisted she make to him were the highlight of his week but she abruptly stopped making them because she was sick of seeing him date OW he never bothered to call her or find out why she stopped calling him. She does have a security detail that reports to him that she’s unaware of.
She’s ready to divorce him and he decides he wants to be married for real but he doesn’t assure her that he wasn’t actually having sex with any of the models ands actresses he took out on dates. He takes her to a charity ball where he lets a meddlesome OW paw all over him and he lets her and doesn’t explain to h about any of it.
They have some rough sex one night and he leaves in a dramatic huff about blah blah blah. She catches him naked in bed with OW and leaves him for real. He eventually gets her to let him explain it was supposedly a setup and that he’d passed out and OW wanted her to find them blah blah blah.
Eagerly awaiting the final book in the trilogy and was not disappointed. Sam writes, she delivers, she PUBLISHES!!!! Spot on absolutely. This rounded off the trilogy perfectly.
I loved the interaction between Opal and Tony. The patient man waiting until his wife is old enough to handle him. However things take a turn when she pre-empties him and asks for a divorce. There are hidden depths to Tony that become clear during the story, some of which took me by surprise.
The trilogy is great. Enough passion and explicit language for it to fit, but not overly explicit for those who prefer things a little tamer. This was well worth reading, and hope that the trilogy will be printed, as its a great introduction to the next level of heat in a romance.
However, I did feel like slapping Tony and Opal at times. Talk about making life difficult for themselves. Opal could really have done with a bit more back bone. I like my heroines sassy, and she did annoy me at times, but hey that means she got to me, right? ;-)
Tony is a man of contradiction, battling with demons from the past, that mean he dilly dallies rather a lot around Opal. You understand why as the story unfolds, and he does end up fighting for her. I shan't give anything away, but I did melt a little at the scene in the foyer.
All in all I really enjoyed this. Blackmailed by the Beast is still my favourite of this series, though.
I really liked the idea of the plot....Brother's best friend and modern day marriage of convenience but I just wished that Opal wasn't quite so accepting of her situation. I like my h's shy and quiet but she was a little too subservient. I kind of wanted her to have a big ah ha moment (when she sees the article) and go slightly crazy on his ass....lol guess I was just in a slightly angsty mood! but I did love how devoted Tony was once he got over the 2 year debate of whether or not he was good enough for her.
Επιτέλους ένα βιβλίο της συγκεκριμένης σειράς το οποίο με ενθουσίασε. Μοιάζει αρκετά με το "Billionaire Husband" αλλά ίσως γι αυτό μου άρεσε τόσο πολύ.
How old is she? 20 or 22? Because she says she's 20 and he's like you're a 22 year old. How was what he did considered as SA? She said yes and gave her consent. The third act conflict and the groveling later was so eww. So basically, he got drunk and slept in his bed alone. His ex - with whom he had stopped being with for two years- bribed the hotel guards and snuck into bed with him. Our mc saw this and was like let's go ahead with the divorce and freezes him out for three months and suddenly one talk later she's alright with him. Like girl no. You deserve better.

I hate to say it but this book is downright terrible. The sequence of events were moving at warp speed. The heroine has no backbone so her character is easily manipulated. The hero has daddy issues which causes him to act like a tool. These are two people who truly don't belong together and yet here we are... Truthfully, I read the reviews before reading the book but I figured I would just ignore them and read it anyway... big mistake. This is a 0/5 stars honestly.
