If you're looking for something to hand off to your young reader, give this series a try!

The Littles are "humans" ... they just have a tail and are six inches tall. That's all. Oh, and they live in the Biggs house; not that the Biggs know it, because the Littles reside in the tiny spaces and nooks of the home. The Littles take food scraps and things they find in the garbage and in return for "mooching" off of the Biggs, they repair the leaks in the pipes and the electrical issues in the house. And when they're not doing that, they have all kinds of wonderful adventures; which is actually incredibly often.

A fun series, with lots happening, a silly uncle, and a family that love each other!

Reading Level: 2nd - 4th grades

Cleanliness: You will see gee, golly, gosh, goodness sake, heavens, doggone, holy cow, stupid, darn it, oh heck, and the like lightly sprinkled throughout The Littles series. Mentions Mother Nature. The main theme of this book is that girls are equal to boys and should be allowed to do anything a boy can. This is brought about because the Littles come across an old colony that still think they're in 1776 and treat girls/women like they did back then.

This was an okay book, I just could not really get into it, but for some younger readers it might be good. They do go on adventures in the book!!

I was a huge "Littles" fan when I was 7 or 8. I don't know how I missed reading this book then, but I know I would have loved it, especially the tiny horses!
Reading it now, I still enjoyed it a lot and was reminded why I loved the series so much. The message was a little obvious, but it only hit you over the head with it once - and if you're 7, maybe it's not so blatant.

This is a great book! It's about the Littles (which you might not have heard of). They go on an adventure and meet Littles that live on a hill. They got there by a hot air balloon; they created it with a stove pump. My favorite part was when the father of one of the houses rode out on a horse to get the blacksmith. The Littles were stunned! They stood for at least a minute with their mouths open!

I enjoyed the Nunsuches and historical information included within the context of the book. Tom and Glory's adventures make the book quite exciting.

OK, I think we had deeper characterization on this book than on any of the others. I got to really like Tom a lot more, and I really enjoyed meeting Glory. Great book!

As part of my son's homework he needs to read 30 minutes each night and so I enjoy reading some books with him that I enjoyed as a child. I loved The Littles the series when I was younger so I suggested this a book we could read together. My son and I both were disappointed in the book. It was very wordy and just didn't capture my son's attention. I would like to read another book in the series and see if I like that one better.

Very nostalgic read for me. I remember reading about Cousin Dinky, Tom, Lily, and all the Littles as a child. This one was published a little later than my childhood (in the 90s) but had all the nostalgic vibes that I was craving. It was on my shelf for my grandchild and since it had the Buzzword "little" in the title, I decided to pick it up this month. Still super cute series and one I can't wait to share.

This title starts off at a break-neck pace. When it finally slows, some interesting characters are introduced. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and am sorry to part ways with my good friends, the Littles. I highly recommend this title and this series to anyone looking for a solid, enjoyable, quick read.

Positive messages at the end do not undo negative messages at the beginning. We had to confiscate this.

This was not my favorite Little book. I felt the talk of some historical events made it hard for my 5 year old to follow the story. It might be a good one to read along for that time period.

It’s so amazing! If I was Glory, I would never do that.

Tom Little and Uncle Nick go on an adventure when their hot air balloon carries them away. They land in a farming community that has been cut off from other civilization for hundreds of years. These Tinies actually have tiny horses! It's amazing. Some of their other ideas aren't so amazing though--like that women and girls are less important than boys and men, and shouldn't do the same things.

We liked this one, as well. The tiny animals was a fun addition, though it never really explains how that came about. Interesting to have the undercurrent of women's rights running throughout the book. Most of the series doesn't try quite so hard to Make A Point. It was fine, just a little different.
We also read this one in the car.
