*This is hardly a review I just wanted to vent*

I read this book a decade ago before I got my first (and only) rabbit. I remember struggling on one page, my seven year old brain hurting from all of the words I couldn't understand. But I was desperate to read and complete this book. I needed to know absolutely everything before I could get a rabbit.

In a month, Cuddles will be ten years old. Just the other day I witnessed her having a seizure, and it scared me to say the least. I ended up rushing her to the animal clinic that my friend's dad owns. I learned that my bunny *probably* has a brain tumor. I've been feeding her through syringes and making sure she doesn't hurt herself all day. I still have this book on my shelf, and seeing it makes me laugh a little. All I ever wanted as a kid was a bunny. It's going to hurt when I lose her officially.

This book definitely has a lot of useful information, but readers must be wary because some of the tips and advice is outdated. This is definitely a book that a rabbit owner should keep on hand in terms of illnesses, though because, while some of the information may be out-of-date, it is more detailed about signs, symptoms, and treatments than other of books I have read; and it also gives information on further reading and more up-to-date web sites that are really helpful.

A good Beginner's guide to caring for rabbits. It contained many clear and concise statements. I think it would make a good guide for children or for a person who was considering owning a rabbit as a pet.
