3. It’s nice that he didn’t rely on magic this time.

While a stand alone title, it does help to have read the other books in the series. I would also think that maybe reading the Heidi Heckelbeck books might help, too. However, this is a fun series about friendship and seems to be a bit of real magic, too.

The friendly competition continues as Henry, Dudley and Max compete to see who is the best spy. I do wish that Henry would not always let Max win but the message of friendship does come through clearly.

I had plenty of problems with this book. We won’t be reading any more of the series.
