Rate this book
Nash Hudson is on a big job.

Bodyguard by day, and werewolf by night, he is climbing the ranks in his Pack. All he has to do is protect his clients, and build his leadership in his Pack, and his life is set. But one chance meeting with a woman on a job has him making decisions he would’ve never made before. His wolf is on the fritz, and pushing for things that will bring severe punishment from his Pack. Summer is gorgeous. Great smile, curves in all the right places, funny, and interesting in every way--she absolutely has his attention. Summer is so many things, but she’s also going through something she is hiding from her friends, and the only one who can set her life on a new path is Nash.

They’re strangers, but she sure feels important, and now Nash must decide if helping Summer is worth the risk of punishment from his Pack...or if he’s throwing both of their lives away.

I really felt for Summer at the start of this one, was glad that she ran into Nash and that Nash did the bad thing. The aftermath and intro to the pack could have been better, but things worked out for them. I can't wait to hear more about them.

His Curse to Give 🐺

Nash is on a bodyguard job when he spots Summer. His wolf is intrigued with this woman from a few moments of conversation and he does something he wouldn’t normally do…he follows her. He knows something about her that her friends don’t and when presented with an opportunity to help her, he does😍

A great story and I look forward to see how Summer copes with the changes in her life❣️

Really liked the heroine who is very sick and just an inspirational person. The H knows she's sick and treats her so well, but she's got an infection issue to worry about. Loved the setting and this great couple's story.

His Curse to Give is the first story in the Wolves to Be series (all short HFN stories). While the story itself is wickedly short, there’s still a powerful punch of a story involved here as Summer is facing the realization of a devastating medical condition… and Nash is stepping in where perhaps he shouldn’t have. All he knows is that this woman calls to him, and while what he’s planning to do is frowned upon by the Pack, he’s not going to risk losing this woman who sure feels like his mate. Pack rules be damned.

Summer and Nash’s story is steamy, funny, wicked ironic in some ways, and facing reality in others. They might have been strangers meeting in the oddest way, but they fit, and once Nash completes his plan, well, there’s no turning back for either of them. I adored Summer; she’s facing her reality in a way that makes sense for her. And her reactions to her new life were so “out there” that they were both funny and desperate to understand at the same time.

His Curse to Give hands us an intriguing beginning that simply begs to be followed up in the next installment, What He Is Now. If you love Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance, don’t mind a Happy For Now (HFN) ending that will lead to more, and can appreciate a story being delivered in its most important details only… then you’ll love this Shorts series, Wolves to Be.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Summer and Nash

A quick pleasure read with a lot of punch. TS Joyce creates these little blips of energy, where we can reach in a grab life by the (wolf) tail!

Summer is dying. She is trying to use her remaining minutes wisely, as she waits for the inevitable. When she is approached by a beautiful and strong looking man, she thinks about choices and chances.

When bodyguard Nash see a gorgeous woman in the lobby of the hotel where he is working, he is drawn to her. So much so that he follows her to the club where she and her friends are celebrating a birthday. He can’t seem to get this lovely, but sick young woman out of his head.

The question is now whether he is willing to break his pack rules to save this lovely creature from death.

His Curse to Give is the short first book in the Wolves to Be series and Joyce once again gives us a world where we can find joy in the romancing of shifters.

A brand new series from TS Joyce!
This one did go the usual route and is quite light on the paranormal aspects, and is very much like the introduction to an entirely new world.
Summer is dying, and having one last night out with the girls before she figures out a way to give them her medical diagnosis. And then she meets Nash, who decides to make it his personal mission to give her a night worth remembering.
This was such a swoony romance. The magic potion reference: just *gah*. Giddy with excitement. Summer’s reactions had me chuckling, Nash’s little speech is a scream, and honestly this was such a feel good mash of hope. It was giving me Red Dead Mayhem vibes by the end, but less dysfunctional. There’s very little of the wider world and other characters in this book, but I can’t wait to meet them.

yo (bit of spoiler)

I did not expect this to be sweet and hot and emotional, all at the same time.

So this is a bit different from the shifter trope (is shifter a trope or…?) because the male lead’s a werewolf here and idk i guess i thought werewolves were shifters too. I guess, think of Remus from HP as the werewolf of course and Minerva as the shifter/animagus. And the guy here is a werewolf not a shifter. Zzzzz I’m sleepy and rambling.

What i DID love was the actual dialogue between the wolf and person. We don’t usually get that in shifter stories, which usually just have the animal huff and grunt and things like that. The dialogue here was ridiculously funny; i found myself literally laughing out loud.

That ending was a bit abrupt, but all in all this makes me want to look at the author’s other books.

This is the first book in a recovered series by T.S. Joyce. Summer doesn’t have much time left. She is making the most of it. She meets Nash at the hotel she staying at. Nash feels drawn to her and doesn’t understand why. When he learns she is dying he knows what he wants to do. He offers her a very small chance at living. Summer accepts the chance but doesn’t realize what that entails. She is about to go on wild ride. Others that work with Nash realize what she is even when she doesn’t. This book had me laughing out loud so much. Summer is hilarious. Nash is great as well. T.S. Joyce has done it again. I can’t wait to read more books in this series. Fantastic job T.S. Joyce.

Needed So Much More

I gave this 4 stars because it was really good. I could jot give it 5 stars because of two reasons. First because it was way too short. Second because it ends too abruptly and I wanted to see what happened next. I loved the entire plot! I am a survivor myself and this story made me very emotional. Nash wss just awesome. He has a wonderful heart while being a dominant male and werewolf. Summer, had me in stitches laughing. I could also feel and relate to her pain. I am truly hopeful that this author will put out the next installment very soon and that it be a full length story. I really think a full length story is worth the purchase!!

Very sweet

A short read but new series, it did feel over very fast.would of liked to see how they change her medical history it's ok for her to have been ill but they told her she had not long to live, lucky she had not told her family and friends yet but the doctor would have questions.as always the humour is very funny. (That's why this author is in my top 10 favourites) 1010 is back that number shows up in many series use to be a trailer or a cabin.this time a hotel number.I wonder if her friends will join she can turn a person. There is a twist in this series females don't always survive the change.
It says next book out in April um it's may.

With his principal secure and his relief on duty, wolf Nash Hudson notices a pretty human sitting in the hotel lobby painting her toenails in front of God and everybody. Nash notices how dazed she seems and smells her sickness, unable to stop himself Nash offers her a water as he sits to talk to her getting a shock of electricity when the accidentally touch.

Summer DiCarlo smiles as the shock goes through her, she’d sad because she’s attracted to Nash but too ill to recover. As Summer leaves with her friends, Nash follows, casually reconnects and promises Summer a night she won’t forget in this fast paced, humorous short that unfortunately has a rushed ending.

That was an easy Summer!!!!

Summer is almost over literally, but she won't tell her friends, she is just counting the time she has left.

Nash takes a whiff of Summer sitting in the lobby and he thinks how hot she is, only she's not acting normal, she keeps polishing the same toe over and over. When he approaches her, he realizes her dilemma. He decides to stalk her because when she touched him, his wolf decided that it would happen. She would either die, or she wouldn't.

Great start to what seems to be another one of Ms. Joyce's great series.

This is awesomely hilarious

When this came out I refused to read it because I hate romance novels that leave you hanging. So imagine my surprise when I decided to read it today and so far the story is really good. By page 62 I was laughing so hard I had to stop reading until I calmed down. My boyfriend was looking at me like I was a bigger nut than he already thinks I am. Seriously like 10 mins of this book was me trying to stop laughing and snorting. Anyway, I'm off to book 2. Enjoy!

4.5/5 stars!

Listen, don't look at the cover yall. LOLOLOLOL. But this was another buddy read that my friend and I decided to do in honor of spooky season AND to appease our inner 13 year old wattpad reading selves– and I have to say this DELIVEREDDDDDDD!

Nash and Summer were so cute, and I really enjoyed the plot!! It just made sense and really flowed well for a book with only 94 pages. I'm beginning to realize that novellas really hit differently when you need a quick read but don't feel like picking up a book with 300 pages. Highly recommend if you are looking for a werewolf story but don't want something that drags!!

Quick but so good!

I absolutely adore TS Joyce. I’ve read everything she’s out out, and I’ll forever be a fan.

This book was super quick, but I loved every second of it. The underlying story would have been sad, but all of the humor between Summer and her friends, Summer and the pack alpha, even Summer and Nash, made it such a fun read. TS has a fantastic way of making her FMCS both nerdy and bad-a$s and so freaking endearing.

His Curse to Give (Wolves to Be Book 1)

The love story of Nash and Summer. Summer is dying and she is out with her girlfriends to fun for the last time. Nash is a bodyguard and werewolf. He meets Summer at a bar and fall for her. He ask her "if you could take a magic potion that you could even die right away or survive and become healthier again?" What will her answer be? Great story.

Short But Sweet

This was shorter than the books TS Joyce usually writes but I loved it and can't wait for the next book in the series. Summer is dying from cancer and knows her time is short. She decides to have one last night out with her friends but then she meets Nash. He's a werewolf bodyguard and he's fascinated by her. They have one incredible night and he ends up turning her to save her life. The book has humor and sweet moments and I truly recommend reading it.

His Curse To Give

T. S. Joyce has written the first book in Wolves to Be series. Its title is His Curse To Give. Nash, a werewolf, meets Summer, human but has a tumor in her head & is dying. The path they take brings them together. There is laughter, tears, excitement, anger & turmoil involved in reading this excellent book. I cant wait for the rest of the series.
Thank you T. S.!

New beginnings

I chose this rating because Summer is a courageous young human who knows she is dying, she needs to tell her friends of her diagnosis and is dealing with it as best as she can. Thenher life's a out to change unexpectedly by a sexy male who finds her fun, beautiful and sadly terminally ill.
He decides to do the unthinkable and save her....his pack are not amused and all hell breaks loose

I loved this one! It is from the viewpoint of mostly Summer. She has such a funny outlook. She was an enjoyable character to get to know, and I smiled a lot. Nash while he looks intimidating he seems to be a real sweetheart. Even though this is a short story, it was perfect. I think if the author would’ve fluffed this book out to 100 pages there could be a lot of consequential stuff in there so it’s the perfect size.

I can't wait to see where they go

This one was so close. I understand the counting minutes, trying to make the most of em. I understand Toomey. Nash and Summer feel like they are going to be so big. They had me giggling and ready to cry and back . I can't wait to see where they go.

Off To A Good Start

This is a good short story. Summer and Nash are strong characters and the storyline is engaging. Chapter 8 is riddled with wonderful humorous moments, adding a bit of whimsy to the meeting in the bar.

This was a quick, pleasurable read and I’m ready for book #2.

I know it’s because I’m comparing a novella to a novel but this was a meh for me. The quickness of the very sweet story missed the amusing banter found in TS Joyce books. Being the first in a novella series??? There wasn’t alot of character development for the future installments in the series (that I will read).

Short and sweet…

Great start to a new series. I love the use of 1010 too. Only thing missing might be the rat…LOL. Only fans of T.S. Joyce will understand that. This author has a wonderful light touch, writing likable characters and interesting stories…I will be following this new series.

DO NOT JUDGE THIS BOOK BY THE COVER!!!

This book was so much more than I thought it was going to be omg. All the characters are funny and likable. So short but so sweet! I binged this in like 45 mins it was soooo good. My only con is that it’s so short. i’m glad there’s more than one book but this could’ve been such a longer series.

I like Summer and Nash

This book was a surprise for me because I have read most of the books from TS Joyce. It seemed so short so perhaps it is a new short story series. This was a sweet romance and meet cute. Summer has something that is terminal. She meets Nash in an elevator and upon a short conversation, Nash wants to help her. Read On!
