The New Teacher's Complete Sorcebook is essentially four years of a teaching degree in one 190 page book. Naegle has spent four+ years working with new educators and, given their common concerns and struggles, has addressed these through her book. On occasion I felt like I was being taught to suck eggs, but there were a number of areas where I learnt a new perspective on a particular subject, or clarified its practical use in the classroom. In fact, looking back over the book, I have bookmarked 94 of the 190 pages to go back over, use to reedit already planned work, or action an idea in these last two weeks before school returns. I suspect this book will never be far from my side this year as I take on my first regular class, plus it will be worth rereading it in subsequent years.
