Ranging from beginner to more advanced projects with an emphasis on quick construction and quilting methods. Lots of colorful photos in fabrics that appeal to children and includes instructions to modify completed sizes. While liking the designs, I tried the methods for Sunny Sawtooth and did not like the results. I trimmed the blocks to a uniform size, then joined using standard 1/4" seams, pressing the seams to one side and found it much easier to match seams.
I've made a total of five quilts based on designs in this book, but using mostly other construction and binding methods. This is a good book for inspiration and I will be making more quilts from it in the future.

I think I was expecting more, but it's probably because my quilting skills have moved beyond "beginner" and the majority of the projects in this book seemed to be aimed at those just starting out. Which is just fine. Also, as it's promoting projects that can be made in a weekend, they are necessarily simple. I didn't really feel inspired, except by one project, a simple checkerboard quilt with beanbags for checker pieces. I might think about doing that one, but the rest I'll leave.

Even though I consider myself a beginner, I found a lot of the blankets to be too simple in design. I was not inspired by this book.
