Summary: A little girl discovers that, while her mom is pregnant, she will put the new baby up for adoption.

Response: This beautifully written story portrays a different view of adoption - while many books are written for the child who has been adopted, this book is written for the children whose parents chose not to raise their siblings. Written by a social worker who has worked in adoption issues, this book gives parents and children some strategies to approach this difficult issue

A story of open adoption. The expecting mom already has a little girl at home and knows she cannot raise two children. The little girl sees that her mom is sad, and she is sad too that the little brother will not live with them. There are calls and visits and that makes it a little easier.

The book is written from the perspective of the birth family which makes this book very rare. Rosa's mother becomes pregnant and she decides to place the baby for adoption. The story is from Rosa's POV. Really enjoyed it and sent a copy to Momma A and family.

Biological parents seeking to explain adoption to their natural children and adoptive parents who are connected to biological families will find this a valuable story. There's more in the full review.
