Dear God, Help!!! love, Earl is one of the most relatable books for children. It encompasses the adventures and trials of this young lad named Earl who is sick and tired of being bullied by his arch nemesis Eddie. He constructs a plot with his two friends to get back at Eddie and get him to stop bullying him. The plan goes successfully and now Earl has everyone thinking he has a video incriminating Eddie, so if he ever tries to bully anyone ever again this video could be used against him. Little does Eddie know that due to a lack of technological knowledge, Earl does not actually have video. He did not know how to use the camera and never video taped their little plan.
This book is incredibly important for teachers to use. I would use it in my classroom to read aloud and teach children the power of voice. Bullying takes so many forms now with the power of the internet and technology. It is not limited to stealing lunch money and shoving kids into lockers. Teachers need to be on top of addressing these situations and not letting them escalate to more serious matters.

This book is very insperasonal. this book is about earl and he is getting bullied by another kid. he asks his friends what to do and they came up with some of the stuppidest plans but earl went along with them and all he had to do was to pretend to be dead to get the bullies attention, and it sure did all he could say was i didnt mean to and while all this was happening earl was hidding behind a bunch of boxes and recording this. so the next time earl got bullied he would show everyone this tape. from then on he never got bullied again. but the truth is the tape had nothing on it cause he didnt know how to work it.

Great read aloud book about bullying. The writing is superb and the characters are realistic. Park used humor to deal with a serious situation. All of my 6th graders, both sexes, were enthralled and the plot events were springboards to discussion.
