Poet's Guide is quite well done-the author includes comments in each section from other poets and editors. There is an excellent section which discusses and describes workshops, and another one on entering poetry contests. The section of preparing poems for submission is quite useful, including sample cover letters and formatting. Bugeja even addresses interpretation of rejection notices. I enjoyed this book so much I am ordering Bugeja's poetry books.

Good basics for poets, especially those who are starting to send out their work. A friend lent it to me when I asked some questions about submitting my poems. I learned I was doing it wrong! Better late than never. This has practical tips.

A bit dated, but practical and useful with perspectives provided by other poets and editors.
