The Mystery Thief

Rate this book
Someone knocks Bill Collins into a snowdrift and steals his suitcase when he goes to spend the night with Poetry. When the boys track the footprints in the snow, they make an amazing discovery. And a penmanship test helps to solve another mystery (the mystery of who's been sending the mean notes received by Bill and Mr. Black). Find out with the gang how important it is to love and befriend those who hurt us.

The Sugar Creek Gang series chronicles the faith-building adventures of a group of fun-loving, courageous Christian boys. These classic stories have been inspiring children to grow in their faith for more than five decades. More than three million copies later, children continue to grow up relating to members of the gang as they struggle with the application of their Christian faith to the adventure of life.

Now that these stories have been updated for a new generation, you and your child can join in the Sugar Creek excitement.

This is my first ever Sugar screen Gang book. I enjoyed it, it was so hard to put down, I caught myself reading late into the night with the suspenseful action. The story got genuinely spooky at times. I absolutely love the Christian lessons involved. The only reason I’m not rating this book 4 stars, is because it is honestly so hard to completely understand the whole story without reading the books that preceded this one. You can do it, but there is a lot you will miss (like I did). In addition to there being too much backstory, there was also too many characters. It is hard to keep up at times. 3/5 stars, would recommend.

Some crazy things are going on in Sugar Creek. Poetry is a pretty good detective, though. Some of the people they know still need prayer. Even bullies and drunkards need people to befriend and lead them to Jesus. I wonder what will happen next?
