Very homespun devotional that gets you to think about the impact of what you do with your day to day relationship with God. The layout of the book is filled with journaling space that is nicely decorated and invited me to relax, look and let my mind relax with the subject for the day. Very much enjoyed it.
What a beautiful book of prayer, scriptures, and reflections! I was inspired as I read this. I highlighted many ideas as I read. I was impressed by Debbie Macomber's consistency in her daily devotions, as well as by the insights she received and shared with her readers. She sets a good example to follow. This would be a good book to read as a daily devotional book, to enhance a personal devotional time.
Much thanks to my dear friend Elizabeth for sharing it with me. ❤️
"The act of practicing gratitude in all things is the very antidote to despair."
This is a very nice book of thoughtful devotionals from one of my favorite authors: Debbie Macomber. I enjoyed getting to know her better through these inspiring devotionals. For instance, she is dyslexic and yet she has been a bestselling author for 35 years!
Lord, may I grow more like You each and every day.
God was speaking to me through my mother. She looked forward, not back. Good seemed to be asking me to do the same: Concentrate on the present, look with faith toward the future and release the pain of the past.
I have always enjoyed Debbie Macomber's books. This one was no exception. I truly loved the devotions and found myself writing in my prayer journal a lot of scriptures and things she wrote. I was truly blessed to have found this on my Kindle. I started a devotional this year and picked up my prayer journal I started several years ago. I had stopped writing in it. This book spurred me to open it and to really read what she wrote and to ponder life and my relationship with God. I know that I have a lot of work to do, but this book is for anyone.

I found the devotionals too short for my taste. They are more like "thoughts" than devotionals. Though I enjoy that sort of thing, it wasn't really what I was interested in. And many of the pages are filled with short quotes and scripture instead of filled with writings of the author.
This was a nice devotional book. Written in small 2-3 page 'thoughts' Incorporating Ms. Macombers real life events with Biblical verses, or ways to live with Bible verses. It was very nice. If you buy this to own she left blank pages for you to write your own thoughts after each entry.
