Very disappointing, the Historical Dictionary of Haiti is vastly overrated and overpriced in both ebook and paper versions, especially since it contributes no new knowledge whatsoever about Haiti and was out of date in 2012 when it was first published. As another reviewer pointed out, 'all the information it contains can be gleaned from a cheap Haitian history book or for free on the Internet.'
