Beginning with Gone With the Wind, this bestselling volume offers the complete story behind the top five releases at the box office for each year since 1939. Old photos, lots of trivia, and nostalgic appeal make this revision a must-have purchase for all movie fans.
I love this book and refer to it often for my blog and in general for fun. It was one of the first movie books that really got me interested in movies.
Unfortunately, a book pretty much deep-sixed by the Bombeckish ditzbrain of a writer. Also, counting Disney re-releases in the figures doesn't really seem fair to me. It was a little too concerned with the blockbusters--and the comments from insider magazines began to sound a bit too much like some porn critic ("great production values").
