“Teachers Help Us,” is a very basic introduction to a teacher’s job. Spare text accompanies full-color photographs of teachers and students. The very simple text is a good lead-in for pre-school or early elementary children who will be attending preschool or elementary school for the first time, or as a springboard to discussion of this community helper’s job. New readers should be able to master the simple text (word count 74) with little help.

A brief index and several titles for additional reading are included, along with a table of contents. The author lists only one web site at the end of the book for readers interested in learning more about the topic. This links to an Enchanted Learning page that features a ten-page printable “Community Helpers Activity Book,” that includes a connect -the-dot, color-by-number, and wordsearch puzzle, as well as several other activities.
