This was the book chosen for my Masonic book club. It is filled with short biographies of Masons, a few works of fiction and two plays. This book is intended for use mainly Virginia Masons and the discussions at the book club have been very thought provoking. If you are a Virginia Mason, it is great reading. There are no secrets revealed and Allen was a prolific Masonic author.

This was an awesome book. I recommend this as a must read for my Masonic Brothers wanting to know more about the Craft.

Written in a unique style, this book includes history, works of fiction, philosophy, etc. The underlying theme of the book is great and towards the end it really starts to come together. However, I must confess a bit of tedium reading through some of the chapters.
