Back by popular demand! The first illustrated guide devoted specifically to the highly collectible field of military watches and clocks. Filled with concise descriptions and explanations of more than 150 distinct models, and including a guide to current price ranges. Chapters cover, in chronological order: pocket and deck watches, wristwatches, aviators watches, chronographs, timers, stop watches, divers watches and clocks. An invaluable reference for collectors.
Overall, nice book to read, several interesting information but many watches lack photos of movement or even the back side, also there could have been more technical information about each watch (diameter, lugs width, bph etc.). And the photos are black and white only. But of course, for this price, it is to be expected.
The Concise Guide to Military Timepieces is exactly what the title says: a concise guide to military timepieces.
The descriptions and marking guides are good and informative. There's not much to complain about there. Many of the images, however, are very poor and seriously drag down the quality of this book. The book is a great coffee-table book or will look nice in your workshop's bookshelf. Decent book overall. 3 stars.
