Read while going through Peru for two weeks. Very helpful!

The restaurant recommendations were only alright, and I think the author overstressed how "dangerous" some cities were. Maybe when he wrote the book his warnings were accurate, but we never felt unsafe in any of the places he warned about.

Useful tips. I'll be in Peru implementing some of these in November!
