An interesting, if short, look at the history of one of the most famous American buildings.

The book is from 10 years ago, so missing information about Presidents who lived in the lifetimes of my students, but overall superbly written. A great balance of simple wording, interesting info, and engaging text features, that didn't over do it.

A little behind for current times but still was a enjoyable read. A great place for kids to start with learning history of the U.S.
