The book has been first published in 2001. This especially is noticeable when the book talks about recording gear. Good book that covers the fundamentals.

Lots of good advice, in a dry, British voice.

Jim pretty much covers everything you need to know and does so in a very down to earth fashion. A very useful book that Im sure I will turn back to every so often as a refresher.
