“The game doesn’t really matter. I mean, I’ll give 100 percent of my heart to win it, but in the end, the thing I most want to do is not win championships or make a lot of money, it’s to invest in people’s lives, to make a difference.”
—Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow, rising star of the New York Jets, is one of the National Football League’s most popular players. His energetic and unorthodox style of play, his penchant for producing dramatic comeback victories, his unapologetic espousal of the Christian faith, and his gracious demeanor make him a fan favorite.

Tebow Time: Insights on Winning from Football’s Rising Star presents quotations from Tebow on varied topics—everything from his football career, faith, approach to winning, upbringing, and how he deals with both adoration and criticism—and couples them with an “In Context” analysis from the book’s editor. These quotations are culled from numerous interviews, press conferences, and profile pieces from various points in Tebow’s career, and give fans and critics a deeper insight into who he is and what drives him to excel. With an in-depth introductory essay examining Tebow as an individual, a football player, and a cultural phenomenon, this book will delight fans of this rare and humble football icon.

In the Nonfiction story Tebow Time by Jesse Hines, Tim Tebow's life is summarized up with the most important material in his life that got him to his fame. I rate this book with 5 stars. I think this book is amazing because of all the interesting material that got Tim Tebow to where he is now in his life. The main character of this story is Tim Tebow. A trait that Tebow has is that he is very hard working. A conflict of this book is that when Tebow's mother was pregnant with Tim she almost had to get an abortion. The setting of this book is Tim Tebow's life. The plot of this story is what Tebow wanted/thought as a kid and it explains his life, career, family, and religion up until present day.The reason i think this book is amazing is because or the descriptions/quotes Tebow used as motivation, such as, "Tebow knows his passing skills aren't as polished as those of many other quarterbacks, but he also knows that few people are willing to work as hard as he is to get better".I think this quote is amazing because it shows the effort Tebow is willing to put in to get better and also how confident he is. I recommend this book to people that are interested to see how Tebow got to where he is in life. Lastly this book was written in 2012.

I'm very greatful for winning a copy of this book. I've loved Tim Tebow from his first days being part of our Denver Broncos. He's an amazing person and I have read his autobiography also. Tebow Time covers so many points in Tebow's lifestyle. From his diet to handling fame to most important thing in life. A must read for all T.T. fans. I happen to be a big fan, huge! Jesse Hines wrote this book beautifully and I'm thankful.

I love this book “Tim Tebow, insides of winning footballs rising star”, by Jesse Hines. I gave it a five stars because it’s a really good book and, The reason for this is because it shows a lot of foreshadowing, very little metaphor, and a lot of character. This is a really good book to read when your at a low point in your life, or when you feel alone when you need motivation or when you need to find words of wisdom. This is a book about Tim Tebow, about how the experience was in college and the NFL for him as a football quarterback, and his struggle in life and his mindset, and what got him really motivated to do all of this, and he was a very religious person.
Firstly, early in the book, Hines talks about Tim Tebow’s motivation of when he got traded from the Broncos to the Jets and how it really affected him as a person and his mindset going through it “ he wants to win everything he could compete in, this was a low point in Tebow’s life, He thought he had succeed in leading the Broncos into the playoffs.”-(Hines, 26) This is showing a person’s mindset of how everything can get taken away from you and that this is showing his mindset. This is showing character and a person how he’s struggling in life and that he just has to live with it.
Second, early in the book Hines writes about Tebow, that he is talking about his relationship with God talking about Tebow’s relationship with God saying that he is respecting Jake plumber’s opinion, “I really appreciate his compliment of calling me a winner, but I feel like anytime I get the opportunity to give the Lord some praise he is due for of what he did for me and what he did on the cross for all of us.”-(Hines,56) in context to explain why he frequently talks about Jesus and interviews. He was responding to former Denver Broncos quarterback Jake plumber, who also praise Tebow as a winner.
Thirdly, in the middle of the book Hines his expressing Tebow’s emotion “ he was hurt mentally, Losing was the worst feeling that he could feel, in order for him to get back up. He had win.”-(Hines,89) this is showing character in a person. This is showing foreshadowing of what’s gonna come for Tebow in context after the 41 and 23 loss to the New England Patriots this game was one of his worst losses he has ever felt.
Furthermore, towards the end of the book, Hein is talking about table self-discipline Tibo had trouble staying in shape. Tebow loved ice cream growing up and in order to stay in shape and avoid ice cream he had to not eat it and if he had kept eating it he would be 5 pounds over the weight as what the Jets wanted him, and if he was overweight, they would cut him he say, “ Tibo never look like he had problems staying in shape, but when he got the chance he would love to eat, but self discipline got him through it, and he stuck with it and he gave up ice cream for lent almost every year.”-(Hines,138) in context Tebo has loved ice cream since he was a boy, but to be successful on the football field as he wants, Cibo knows he has to be in the best physical shape possible. This is also showing character in this book and mental.
Lastly, Hines is talking about Tebow’s toughness he says “ Tebow was strong mentally but a lot of the times people let people get to him, he always had trouble blocking up the noise, but Tebo‘s mental toughness kept them strong. Tebow spread the word of God because Tebow believes God gave him mental toughness to block out everything that has been said to him throughout his career.”-(Hines,161) in context, Tebow notes that the crisis that he had was only to make him stronger and that it was an opportunity to spread it to people. that show to me character that shows to me that it is talking about foreshadowing that he was gonna become a person who spread the word of God.
I really love this book Tim Tebow, the insides of winning from football’s rising star by Jesse Hines. This is a really good book. I give a five stars. It deserves five stars. It really talks to you on what to do as a person and how to get stronger and how to build up from the ground Basically how to build it from rock bottom and that the Lord is always with you.

I picked up this book on impulse, off the new book shelves at the library. I'm neither a big fan nor a big detractor of Tebow, but do have some admiration for his accomplishments in the worlds of college and professional football, as well as his remarkable attitude. If you're a football fan who wants to read some short, inspirational pieces, this would be a good choice. Very easy to read. A junior high or high school student who is a football or Tebow fan would really enjoy this, and probably be inspired.

My daughter gave me this for Christmas. I'm not impressed with the author's style. The book reads like a bunch of quotes.
