i suppose there'll never be any tracking how this gamebook, priced, accordingly, at $25 us or thereabouts ended up in a used book store off East Nanjing Road in Shanghai spring of 2012, but in any case, it did, and for $3 or $5 or whatever, providing a couple hours' delight at what is an obviously well-designed role-playing game set in some post-apocalyptic computer-controlled world where clearance levels, cctv, bouncy beverage, and reflectoarmor determine everything. tongue-in-cheek humor and injokes for the literary set make an interesting work of writing in its own right.
An interesting system. I like the emphasis on the narrative. I could see it being very well done with the right group, but this perhaps more so than other systems relies on the entire group having similar playstyles.
