Sometimes it's about the right book at the right time. This was so digestible and hit on many of the emotions, sentiments, ideas, needs I have. I didn't think the right book existed and thought I may have to write it. I don't! Thank goodness. Had some poetry that usually doesn't do much for me but it did it for me this time. Especially Awakening.

Dear Group,
This book was given to me after my Mother died. When I received it I'm a bit ashamed to say that I thought "Oh, great, now I get to read about me being miserable."
I was totally, totally wrong. My copy of this book has so many highlighted passages that I may as well have just highlighted the entire book.
It helped me immensely while I was trying to work through my heart-stopping grief.
It's a book one can read from front to back, or just here and there, but it is a highly powerful book and it made me feel as if I wasn't going totally insane, nor was I at all alone in the way I was feeling.
I've since done my best to try and keep at least three (3) copies around most of the time so that when someone I care about has a death of a loved one I can give a copy to them.

This is one of the finest, most inspirational griefs books I have read.

Really concise (30 pages?) and helpful advice about the grieving process. Really helped me to understand that listening to myself is the most healing thing I can do.
