i literally pored over every word of this textbook so i think i have the right to let it contribute to my reading challenge. anyway this was a super helpful textbook but i feel like it assumed that the reader had foreknowledge that my classmates and i didn’t have.
The Professional Counsellor is a good starter book for those looking to begin a career in helping others through the hills and valleys of life. It is extremely comprehensive for an introductory counselling psychology course covering everything from the skills needed for counselling to specific interventions. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in counselling or actively involved in counselling already.
I've read about a third of this, and probably will pick it up sporadically to get through it. But don't need it to sit on my good reads until I do actually finish it.
