What a fantastic book. so much mischievous fun to be had in this book. Quick read? Bet your bottom dollar it is. Flip this book open to a project that sounds cool and get to reading. This book suffers from a few problems though. First: there is no definitive parts list, but if your creative you you got this one. Second: (and this one is personal)I SUCK AT SOLDERING!!! Finally: no definitive parts list coupled with schematics creates a brain melt down for the logic, but for a redneck like myself; it's sheer creative heaven. I can't wait to play with some these toys. Hello Mr. Tesla coil!
Fascinating pulsed power projects for the home player. Carefully written, practical instructions, some inventive ideas, and some approaches I had not considered to make "mad science in your own lab" much more practical. Now you can build a small Marx bank in your garage -- but still high potential to blow up the garage. Not for beginners (and definitely not for unsupervised youngsters. But if you've always wanted to electromechanically launch a projectile, this is the book you've been waiting for.
I love this book, although I have yet to build something from it (but I did do some soldering on a different project earlier today!). It was on the coffee table when we had some friends over and it was a GREAT conversation starter! LOL!
