BECKIE BUTCHER, I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART FOR WRITING THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS SERIOUS AND TRAGIC DISEASE!!
I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 2001, when I was 45 years old. I had Mononucleosis when I was 23 years old. At that time, nobody realized that this was a virus that would stay in your body, after the Mono went away. I worked as a Librarian until I got so sick I could not get out of bed. This disease will take everything away from you, if you let it. I know God

I received a copy of this book via Goodreads Giveaways in exchange for an honest review.

I found that Beckie described living with the disease very well but as a non-religious person I found pages 13-23 really difficult to read. I didn't realise the book would focus so much on the religious side of things, so it wasn't really for me, but I'm sure a lot people will find it helpful.

-1.5/5 rounded to 2 as I received a free copy of "My Battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" from the publisher via a Goodreads giveaway.

I'm unsure of what to classify this book as, as it can't really be considered an autobiography or memoir at only 35 pages. More than anything, this appears to be a pseudo self-help book, with random religious pages, and a list/rant of things not to say to those suffering from this illness (alternatively, it may be a list of things that were said to the author, bu

MY BATTLE WITH CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME by BECKIE BUTCHER is an honest account of her battle with this horrific disease. She’s brutally honest of family, friends, and acquaintances ignorance to the debilitating disease.

MY BATTLE WITH CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME is a quick read, yet will open your eyes to a disease many are experiencing and others know little about. I thought it to be simply about “being tired” when in fact it’s so much more.

MS. BUTCHER gives some eye opening advice for those of u

I'm pleased Beckie chose to use her writing skills and share her story of CFS.
I really think CFS is understood and recognized only by those who are afflicted or provide care.
This took courage, Beckie, and I thank you.

This small book is well worth reading to gain personal insight into chronic fatigue syndrome.

This is an honest account, by someone with the disease, of living with Chronic Fatigue. The Author gives a thoughtful information that has been helpful to her. It is a little book with a lot of good information.

I recieved this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway, and seeing a wealth of glowing reviews I felt the need to justify my rating.

As someone dealing with MS related chronic fatigue I was really hoping to get some insight into a problem I deal with daily. But I am sorry to say that I was disappointed. I am not questioning her diagnosis or struggle This reads more like a pamphlet or long autobiographical essay written as an assignment. Where was the battle? We are told that the doctor had difficul

I met Ms. Butcher at an author event. A lovely lady. We swapped books and she told me about her disease...Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). I never knew there was such a debilitating disease. Beckie is well-versed in her research and I read her book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. It was raw and very straight-forward. She chronicles her discovery of CSF, the slow road to living with it, and finding hope in God's Word and the many specialists to help heal her pain. Nicely done.

This is a very short book. It will probably only take 30 to 45 minutes to read but I'm glad I read it. The author talks about her diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and how it is affecting her life. I knew almost nothing about this condition so I learned a few things. She talks quite a bit about how her faith helps her through it. It's such a small book that there not a lot to say about it except that It might be helpful for someone who suffers with CFS to not feel so alone in what they are g ...more

I was kindly sent this from a Goodreads giveaway.

Personally suffering myself from Fibromyalgia, a condition which very often can coincide with chronic fatigue syndrome I felt emotional reading this short insight into Beckie and her diagnosis journey.

I read it and cried and empathised with her journey as she realised her life was changing forever alike me to my own diagnosis.

In this book she talks about her faith a lot too and how she leant on her faith in God to help her through.

Beckie also talk

I have fortunately not suffered from this condition, nor have any of my family and friends, but I really appreciate Beckie sharing her battle.
The insight she has provided will come in useful in the future if I encounter this terrible illness.
I was fortunate to win this book from Goodreads.

My Battle With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by Beckie Buthcher is an inspiring and and emotional book!
The journey that Beckie goes thorugh is interesting and hooks the reader. At times i do wish that the book would provide more detail on Chronic Fatigue Sydrome but nevertheless the book is a fasciniating real life story of Beckie and her diagnosis, treatment and future life after being diagnosed with the syndrome. The book is not rushed nor too lenghthy its a quick 30 minute read that is sure to giv

This is a short but powerfully emotional book. Ms Butcher bares her emotions and talks about her faith as one support which has her moving on with her life through her diagnosis and now slow recovery. It must have taken a great deal of courage to write this book and share it with the world. My best wishes for a continuing recovery. I won this book in a goodreads giveaway.
