With the support of friends old and new, Dusty reaches heights he never dreamed possible—and in the process, gives a world the inspiration to soar. Boys ages 3–7 who love Disney/Pixar Cars will love this full-color Little Golden Book retelling of Disney Planes based on the hit movie!
My 4 year old grandson was given this for Christmas this year and it appears to be one of his very favourite gifts that he wants to keep nearby at all times. When I read it to him it was clear he had heard the story before and he was quick to interject and tell me who was good and who was bad before I had even read to him. I am sure he would have scored it a 5 star. I would more likely put it as 3 so I am averaging it out. The pictures in the book are bright and appealing and similar to Pixar film style. Kudos to the marketers.
If you have read this Golden Book: you have pretty much seen the movie "Planes". It was one of the first Disney movies that I can actually say was boring! If you kids really want to see it, wait until it goes to the $1.00 show (second-run movie house) or wait until it comes on the Disney Channel, ABC Family or ABC.
Picked this up today and read it twice at bedtime, I thought it was ok, Nik liked it pretty well. Haven't seen the movie yet, though I'm sure we will as soon as it's out on DVD. Nik asked me where Mater was, told me it was supposed to be a Mater book. Silly kid xD
