4 1/2 Scrumptious

There is a little slice of heaven in the Australian Outback…Farpoint Creek cattle station! Please send me there so I can be a jillaroo and work alongside all the jackaroos in the land of kangaroos!!! I want to get down and dirty with them, doing chores in the sheds of course, and then jump NEKKED into the billagong where we can be naughty!!
Loved this book and the switcheroo *snicker* with the brothers, Hunter and Dylan. Actually it was more of a misunderstanding between Dylan and Annie, but it led her to Hunter and the man and the life she would fall in love with! *dreamy sigh* Sexy good fun!

AWESOME
I loved this story with a passion. One of my favourite places to go is my father-in-laws farm and funnily enough I was reading this story as my hubby drove the family out there. I'm not sure if it's just my own mental fairytale issues, but the whole day on the farm was spent dreaming about the sexy Hunter.
DAYUM but that man was all kinds of sexy awesome. Confident, hot to trot but he also had a soft heart and a strong devotion to his twin brother Dylan. He was the perfect mix of spank bank material...and the cover image??? Holy shazit that is hawt.
If only I could get my hands on him, I'd be ...
Another aspect that I thoroughly enjoyed was the Aussie slang. I don't read many books set in Australia, in fact I can't remember more than one other story, but the Aussie slang in this was 100% perfect. I especially loved the "...out whoop whoop" line and "Drop it, boyo. Sheila? When was the last time anyone in this century used the term 'sheila'?" SO TRUE. Loved it!!!
Anyway, this story was perfectly written, smooth, easy to read and the great mix of interesting storyline and sexy content. I loved it, loved it, loved it.
And the best part??? Dylan's story comes out next month WOOT WOOT!!

This was cute and short. Too short, I think, for the characters to really show any depth. In a book this length, I tend to get the feeling of a very long synopsis...just a surface level explanation of what makes everyone tick.
Lexie and Dylan have a friendly online relationship and make a snap decision to meet up. Thing is, Dylan is Australian and Lexie is a New Yorker. Somehow, their wires get crossed and they each travel to the other's homeland. (How in the world would this actually happen with two somewhat intelligent adults? This was a stretch for me. Come on. You don't plan an international trip in two brief sentences.)
Hunter happens to be the one who dropped Dylan off in Sydney, so he's in the middle of wooing another chick in the airport bar when he hears a page for his brother...ergo, meet cute.
I've gotta say, my head was great at an Australian accent, and I did love the setting. I get tired of American settings, and it was great to get some cultural references. Australians don't have ranches...they have stations. And a jillaroo is like a female ranch hand. Pretty cool.

WOW! This was such a fun read!
Loved the characters Hunter and Annie together.
The story and writing were great, and the romance flirting, teasing, bantering, just spending quiet time in the library working just 'being' together was fun to read, and experience.
I loved that the characters didn't have to sacrifice their true natures in order to be together, but stayed true to themselves.
...because I gotta tell ya... once Hunter got "the go ahead" from Dylan.. it was "Game On"...WOWZER!
.. and on a side note, in my 'book-boyfriend-fantasy world' for Christmas I want me a 'Hunter'

I thought this was a very enjoyable little read. I got to see the Australian version of cowboys, which are jackaroos or Stockmen. And a ranch is a Station or homestead.. I loved the heroine and the hero. It was just a great little love story. The hero has an identical twin, I was rooting for ménage going into the book, but quickly changed my mind.
This book is a great palate cleanser.

★★★★½ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Loved this book. LOL! While I did received the Kindle format as a “freebie,” I listened to the audio via Amazon’s Whipersync (at a reduced price). I loved India Plum’s narration, with her raspy Aussie accent.
This one is fun, fun, fun! Loved both main characters and the setting. I bought the set-up (I won’t tell you why) ...and felt my pulse pounding from that first kiss.
For some reason I had forgotten this was an erotic novel, so my eyebrows raised when I got to that part, but it comes towards the end. Who knew cute could do erotic? And so well?
Verdict: Definitely worth reading - or listening to.

I have never read a Cowboy…Stockman romance before. I was pleased with the development of the story, characters, and romance. Amazon was offering the first book "Misplaced Princess” (Foreign Affairs Series) for free and I thought what the heck it’s gotten good reviews I’ll give it a try. I was not disappointed.
Our heroine Annie throws caution to the wind and flies to Australia to meet Dylan a guy she has been talking too online. Miscommunication happens and Dylan is on his way to New York to meet her. Luck would have it that Dylan’s twin brother Hunter is still at the airport and Annie mistakes him for Dylan.
I loved the book from the first page on. It had humor, bad luck for our heroine (well turned out to be good luck in the end), and some HOT SEXY Stockman. I enjoyed all the Australian terms (well researched); which I like when an author takes the time to be realistic in their writing and the sex was HOT and STEAMY. With the characters I liked that the brothers are connected and Hunter did not want to poach on his brothers maybe girl as well as they both care deeply for there family business. I also like Annie a rich girl who really does not seam to be rich and is trying to make it on her own without the help of the family name or money. All the characters where well developed and believable.
I recommend giving “Misplaced Princess” a try. It’s an easy read, with well developed characters, humor, sexual tension and hot sex. I will be checking out the other books in the series.

I'd say this was a typical Mari Carr, but then that almost sounds like you wouldn't need to read it, lol. But this was different, and that's probably Lexxie Couper's influence. I mean it read very much like a Mari Carr story, but there was a definite Aussie slant to it -- they were in Australia after all. :-) And learning the lingo along with Annie was kind of fun. I had no idea! Now, if I ever make it to the Australian Outback, I might not sound so much like an idiot, lol.
Anyway, I liked how Hunter and Annie met. Obviously, Annie might have had romantic intentions toward Dylan from their online chats, but of course we knew that Annie was meant for Hunter. I liked that Hunter sort of just went with the flow with that first kiss (I mean why wouldn't he?) and was protective of her once the paparazzi started in on them. And I'm glad Hunter decided to go ahead and let her shadow him for her work.
While I could totally understand Hunter's reticence in pursuing what was obviously brewing between him and Annie, I started getting tired of it, lol. Annie is going to make her own choice and she'd already chosen Hunter... so even if Dylan had a thing for Annie, what was going to happen? Annie was already falling for Hunter! It really didn't matter at that point what Dylan thought.
But I gotta say, their attempts to stay away from each other were pretty hot. I mean, when he "caught" her? ~fans face~ Verra nice.
So I look forward to the next one which is likely Dylan's side of the story. It'll be interesting to see how hard Dylan tries to stay away from Monnie and what eventually sent him home.

This was a quick fun read. Hunter was an awesome hero, his Australian talk was so spot on. He meets Annie from the NYC and sparks fly. I did not realise that i had previously read Dylans story (Book 2).both these books are best read together, but each has its own stand alone story. This one based in Australia, 2 brothers and a mother looking to marry them off. It had some laughs along the way and some sexy times. An enjoyable read.

When I started reading this book I had a feeling I would really enjoy it, but I don't think I was expecting to love it as much as I did. MISPLACED PRINCESS was just riveting, once I started it I really found it hard to put it down. I just had to know what happened next.
The premise itself of course it's great and different. Annie Prince is the daughter of a media mogul in the US, her sisters have their own reality TV show and her co-workers don't take her seriously because they think she's a spoiled princess even though she's been trying to make it all on her own. The closest she's come to dating has been the chats she's had with Dylan, a hot cowboy from Australia that she met on an online dating site. They clicked, they chatted, they connected. And one day they decided to meet. Except the signals apparently were mixed. Annie thought she was supposed to go to Australia and managed to get a work trip to write an article about hot australian cowboys. Dylan thought he was supposed to go to the Big Apple to meet her.
Once Annie is in Australia though she is rescued by Dylan's twin brother Hunter. And she decides to spend her time with him doing the interview and writing the article, while she waits for Dylan to come back.
Can I just say that Australian cowboys are hot? Something about the way they talk and are all man really made me melt! And Hunter is one hot as sin example of that. Kinda makes me want to hop on a plane, head to Australia and see who picks me up. ;) And speaking of the language, I loved the fact that we get to really see how they speak, learn the slang and the local lifestyle.
Of course these two are put in such a weird position. Hunter feels an immediate attraction to Annie but feels like shit about making a move on his brothers maybe soulmate. And Annie knows it's wrong that she came to meet a different guy but now she can't think of anything else but getting down and dirty with his brother. All that aside though, down and dirty worked out very well for these two and they got pretty creative at times.
If you like your cowboys hot and your stories sweet you HAVE to get this! MUST READ!! And look out for the next book which is Dylan's story (with Annie's New York BFF). I know I'm waiting not so patiently for it.

I am a huge Mari Carr fan and this is my first Lexxie Couper story. Lexxie has a new fan now!
Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper had me hooked instantly, jumping right into the story. I admit though, I was panicked when I started this book. I thought, Oh no! What are they doing??!! How is this going to end happily every after? But, oh how it did!
Annie is a young woman with an interesting life. She has a very wealthy father, but she is determined to stand on her own two feet. She is uncomfortable in the position of rich socialite that her sisters adore and fears that she appears ungrateful in her father's eyes. Even though she lives and works in the city, she's not really comfortable there. She has found dating to be nearly impossible with so many men who have more interest in her family's wealth than her. After making a twenty-first century Australian pen pal (email pal) she wonders if she's finally found someone who is immune to her family's celebity and wealth. After some miscommunication, she finds herself on a cattle station (not ranch) in the middle of Australia, without her pen pal.
Enters HAWT Hunter. Hunter finds himself immediately attracted to the American woman that showed up unexpectedly, but out of respect, keeps his hands to himself. Unlike his brother, who is willing to travel half way around the world to meet a virtual stranger, Hunter prefers to stay right on the station (not ranch). He likes the quiet, stable life that he has in Australia, and doesn't understand his brother's need to explore all that is out in the world. Hunter and Annie immediately have a bond, and attraction. They have similar personalities and wants in life. Problem??? Yeah, that whole pen pal thing...
I love this book and all the hot and steaming sex scenes. I am so excited that this is the first in a series and I cannot wait to see what is in store for Dylan. Hopefully no Vegemite.
This book was very well written and I am impressed with the flawlessness that Mari and Lexxie wrote this without any noticeable switch from one author to the other. If I had to guess, however, Lexxie was probably the one saying "station, not ranch" a lot. ;)

Once there, Annie finds that Hunter is just as gorgeous as Dylan. She came to Oz to meet one brother but her chemistry with Hunter is off the charts! She's in a quandary about what to do!
Hunter thought his brother was stupid to travel half way around the world to meet a woman. That is until he meets Annie. She is everything he never thought he wanted in a woman. Hunter tries to be true to his brother-he really does, but he just can't keep his hands off Annie. And she doesn't want him to!
Gosh this was such a treat! I loved everything about this audiobook! I was intrigued with the blurb and once the story got going, I was sucked in! I really liked both Annie and Hunter! Both had an easiness about them, and they just "got" each other. I knew what was coming and I was getting anxious towards the time that Dylan was supposed to return. I hoped it would be good in the end and it was!
I have read other books by Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper, but this was the first audiobook of their's I've listened to. Their choice of narrator is what made this story authentic. I am hooked and now want to listen to the other books in this Foreign Affairs series!

I just couldn't get into it.
Very slow moving. Even at 36% I still haven't come to anything 'Adult'.
This reads more like a young adult or new adult romance.
I've tried numerous times to get into it. It is not for me.
So I am counting it done.

Everything about the story appealed to me. The two characters couldn't be more adorable if they tried, and I think they were perfectly matched despite the circumstances of their acquaintance. Annie might have felt like she was down on her luck, but I think fate had her best interest at heart. Hunter was such a sweet guy and trying to do the right thing, but chemistry and passion couldn't be denied. I was so glad that things worked out for this couple in the end, and I can't wait to read the next story in this series that features Dylan and Monet to hopefully see what happens when he found himself in New York.

4.0 RATING- I've had this book on my kindle forever and finally got around to reading it and was surprised that I liked it as much as I did. There's not a lot to work with but I thought the storyline was cute, the writing was good, the characters were likable, and the steam was well done. All in all, a nice little read I was able to pick up for free! I actually went on a bit of a Mari Carr binge after reading this book and none of her books disappointed. Glad I found this author!

Pretty quick, satisfying, if not predictable, forced proximity troupe.
I liked the hero, Hunter "The Steadfast Noble." At 30, he came across as comfortable in his boots, albeit much less worldly or educated than Annie at 28. His character fit the story.

Really. REALLY?
This from a university magna cum laude journalist?
She was there on assignment from her US employer to write a four-part magazine on an Australian cattle station! *sigh*
Why do author's still feel in this century they have to dumb-up their "smart" heroines to make them appealing to the hero?
All it does is lower my rating of what is a fairly well written romance. It could have been so much more.
Can't help it, people.
I liked Hunter and Annie's two-week love affair to HEA, but Annie's circa 1970s innocence left me wanting. More.

I liked the hero, Hunter "The Steadfast Noble." At 30, he came across as comfortable in his boots, albeit much less worldly or educated than Annie at 28. His character fit the story.

I'm unfamiliar with Mari Carr's work, but thanks to this collaboration with one of my all time favorite writers Lexxie Cooper, I'm about to find out more about her. This read was a delight and even more so because it was FREE! If you ever want to try out an Aussie's work, you have no more excuses! The writing is spot on brilliant, the story line is funny and engaging and the sex is hot and steamy throughout. Immediately downloaded the next and am looking forward to Dylan's story. After that, I'm thinking of booking my own flight to Oz.

I love the whole premise of this series. Annie and Dylan hooked up online. She's from NYC and he's from Australia. They've been chatting online for several months and one night Dylan finally breaks down and suggests a meeting. The problem...they get their wires crossed. Annie thought he was suggesting she come to Australia when in actuality, he was planning to visit NYC. They cross mid-air which leaves Annie in Australia with Dylan's identical twin brother, Hunter, to take care of her. She can't just go home since she convinced her boss to let her take the time off so she could write a newspaper series about life on an Outback ranch...or station, as they call them. She's stuck, but quickly discovers that's not necessarily a bad thing as she and Hunter have serious chemistry.
The issue for both her and Hunter...she was supposed to be coming there to meet up with his brother and although they never spoke about a romantic relationship, there were certain expectations there.
This was a fun book and absolutely perfect on audio...it only runs around 4-5 hours so it was perfect for me to listen to in a day as I did a huge clean-out of my office. I'm pretty sure the narrator is Australian although she does a really good American accent too, but honestly, I could listen to that Aussie accent all day. The book was way smexy, but it was fun too. It was great to learn more about Aussie life and life at the station. I live in West Texas ranch country so it was fun to hear the differences. Overall, I loved the entire experience and immediately upon finishing it, I got on audible and bought MISPLACED COWBOY so I could find out what exactly happened to Dylan in America.
Great book and if you like an Aussie accent (and honestly, who doesn't) you really should try it on audio!

Misplaced Princess is a great start to a great series by two greats, Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper. In this first book we have a big mix up that ends up being a blessing in disguise.
Annie Prince thinks she is flying out to meet the great guy she has been emailing an IMing in Australia, but she gets there to find out he hadn’t challenged her to go there he is on his way to New York. She talked her way into getting vacation time by telling her boss she would write a four part article series about days in the life of a Outback Rancher or should I say a stockman on a cattle station.
Hunter Sullivan brought his twin brother to the airport even though he thinks he is crazy for flying halfway around the world to meet some strange chick no matter how pretty she is. He is halfway into the pants of some hot blonde when he hears his brother’s name being paged overhead. When he goes see who is paging he ends up with a strange woman calling him by his brother’s name and kissing him.
She talks him into taking her to his cattle station, and he is fighting some serious attraction to her. How is he supposed to act on that attraction, when his brother was throwing words around like soul mate??
I absolutely loved these characters!! The chemistry between these two! They are so smokin’ hot!! This seriously makes me want to go to Australia except for the snakes and big scary spiders… lol … I highly recommend this book, and can’t wait for the next one!!

Will you like (or not) Misplaced Princess? It all falls down to one thing: will you be able to accept the premise of the book: Annie flies around the world (from New York to Sydney) to meet a guy whom she met online. Sadly, he's not there but his identical twin brother is. Insta-love (and lust) happens. After some moral dilemma about poaching on brothers territory, we get a lot of steamy sex.
I just could not believe it. If I chatted with a guy for months (and built a trusting connection with him that will give me courage to fly to a foreign country to visit) I definitely would not start lusting after his brother. Especially since they are total opposites as personalities. Ok, maybe I would wistfully ogle him and wish why 'my guy' is not here, but that's it.
Insta-love type of romance is believable when there are teenagers involved but with mature 28-year-old women - I just can't buy it.
As for the rest, the sex is steamy and hot, the cowboys are hung like a horse and built like supermodels, heroine is poor rich girl fighting to be independent. There is even some light exploration of hero's dominant streak and heroines bdsm tendencies.
So, if these are your kinks and you are not bothered by insta-love, Misplaced Princess may turn out to be a pleasant read for you.

Misplaced Princess had all the makings of a great missed connection romance. The heroine goes to Australia just as the man she's supposed to meet is flying from Australia to her native New York to meet her there. But that's okay, because the guy's brother is still in Australia to hang out with.
While I don't have an objection to the way this book introduced the hero and heroine, I felt like the entire book was rushed. If the heroine is willing to go literally to the other end of the planet to meet a guy, it seems like she should have resisted his brother with a little more effort. Within a couple of days they've both crossed into can't-turn-back territory, and their entire romance spans a whopping two weeks. I just find it strained my ability to suspend my disbelief a bit.
I did like how well-researched the book was; it's clear that the authors are either from Australia or have spent time there. It was nice to see that in a novel.
The book does contain graphic sex scenes, for those who'd like to avoid that. They were well written and varied.

In a classic case of crossed wires and miscommunication, Annie Prince has found herself in Australia, while her "soul mate", Dylan, has gone to New York to meet her. However, on meeting his identical twin, she finds herself reconsidering her original choice, as well as her life, overall. Hunter is instantly attracted to Annie, but is on tenterhooks since she originally came to the outback for Dylan. As time goes on, he finds he can't keep his eyes and hands off her - and neither does he want to. Will his brother understand?
Not a bad book. Book 2 looks interesting enough.
