I have to say I enjoyed this book, strangely enough I read this one and recently 'Amid the Shadows" and these two books had similar story lines. I think the two authors should read each others work. Anyway back to The Glen, well written, the author has penned a fantastic story, weaving very strong religious themes throughout the story with great care and compelling accuracy making it truly enjoyable and not overwhelming. The characters are strong, Reece's strength and determination to protect he

“The Glen” was gifted to me by the author, Carla Coon, and it’s hard to believe that this is her first novel. It’s an amazing tale of the battle between good vs evil that cleverly and eloquently blends many aspects of Judeo-Christian studies. From the beginning, this was an absolute page-turner and I had difficulty putting it down. I liked the in depth descriptions of the child, his parent's roles and those of his protectors. This new writer has a back for wonderful description that captivates you in each paragraph without boring you into skipping parts like so many current writers do. ...more

If you were to ask me what I would rate this book at the beginning I would have said a 2 and if I were to rate the last half I would have given it a 4 so I feel pretty good about giving it a solid 3.

I did manage to get some Revelations ...more

This is a I can't wait to turn the page to see what is going to happen next thriller/suspense book. A great read for anyone that loves thriller/suspense books. There are a few grammatical errors (just like any book has.) I look forward to reading this author's future works.
