About the author

Ms. McNulty has published in a variety of genres, not wanting to be tied down to just one thing. She began her writing career with her fantasy series entitled Legends Lost. Since then, she has gone on to publish in the popular dystopian genre with her Dystopia Trilogy and has even published a cozy mystery series entitled Mellow Summers. Her most recent work is her space opera, science fiction adventure series: the Solaris Saga.

In addition to writing for young adults and adults, Ms. McNulty has also published several picture books for children.

In this next installment in the Mellow Summers series, Mel wakes up in a creepy motel room, covered in blood, holding a bloody knife! Holy crap! What?! So naturally the cops think she killed someone, but with no concrete evidence (not even a freakin' body!) they have to let Mel go. So it's up to her (with the help other friends, and Rachel! She back!) to clear her name and find out who the heck did this to her.

This book was crazy good! I totally hooked me right from the beginning! It's not every day someone wakes up unsure whether they committed a murder or not.... It was just great (Not for Mel though, lol)!

And oh my gods! Aunt Ethel was the best! I loved her! She is just so... eccentric! She was a lot of fun to read about! :)

I'm kinda disappointed in myself because I didn't figure out who did this to Mel from the start because it was SO obvious! But I'm also glad I didn't figure it out 'cause I love being surprised :) But (yes another but) their motive was so cliche I just kinda rolled my eyes.

But overall the book was great! The mystery was crazy good, and it still managed to maintain some of its lightheartedness. I am SO hooked on this series! I highly recommend it!

Another great story in the Mellow series. When Mellow wakes up covered in blood and holding a knife in her hand, Rachel hears and responds. Mellow can't remember anything that happened so it's up to her, Rachel and her friends to find the answers. Rachel, a ghost, can go where the others can't and will stop at nothing to help her friend.

I love this series. You can't go wrong getting involved with Mellow and her friends. Light, funny and easy to read.

I received this book for review from the author for a honest review. This is the third book in the Mellow aka Mel Summer story. A college student studying to be a film make in her spare time she solves mysteries and works at the Candle Shoppe.

Mel is found in a hotel room with a knife and covered in blood not her own. She has no memory of the event leading up to being found prior to waking up in a hotel room. Thankfully she's got her friends to help her out, Tiny the lovable biker guy comes through getting her a very good defense lawyer named Calvin to defend her on murder charges. Thankfully they don't have a body just the blood all over her and the hint that there was a murder.

In this book we are introduced to Aunt Ethel a eccentric woman who just happens to be extremely stuck in her own ways. In one scene she's driving Mellow around town, admits she's not had a drivers licence in years, claims that stop signs are guidelines, and that they will get out of your way if you drive on the sidewalk.

I love this series the characters are well written and easily likable I don't think there are any I don't like well except maybe the bad guy but ya know how that goes. I think my fave is Mellow with Rachel in a close second she makes me laugh and she's always getting Mellow into trouble. I had no trouble finishing this in a afternoon, like before I want more and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Mellow or Mel Summers wakes up to find the room she's in covered in blood and she's holding a knife in her hand. Mel is arrested and charged with a crime for which Mel has no memory of. She is releaseed to go home only to find that her Aunt Ethel Wimsy has arrived unexpectedly. Mel wonders how not to tell Aunt Ethel about being charged with murder and that Rachel's ghost is back. Aunt Ethel seems to not like anyone including Jackie, Greg, and Tiny. Mel only remembers bits and pieces of what happened to her. Then starts receiving packages without a delivery person. Mel calls her lawyer Calvin, he wants to make sure she doesn't got investigating what happened to her which she reluctantly agrees too. Mel asks Tiny to accompany her to the place where she was found. Well she has flashes of memory and deja vue but nothing that sticks out in her memory. Detective Shorts is not pleased to find Mel sleuthing yet he covers for her in front of D.A. Mr. Harrow. What really happened to Mel? Will Mel get her memories back? What will Aunt Ethel do? Favorite of the series so far. Her aunt is a mess! Still have the issue with doule L words but i still enjoyed it. I want a greg of my own!
