This funny and insightful guide illustrates the wonderful magic between cougars and cubs. Older women, younger men, and the love they share for one another, all wrapped in a great package that will make you laugh as well as appreciate the joy that may come from relationships some may frown upon... but which will make others smile for a lifetime.
Loved this hilarious romp through the wild jungle of cougars and cubs! One of my best friends is a proud "Cougar," and she downloaded the 99 cent Kindle version and laughed and laughed. Ben Peller/Shawn Michals does a tremendous job of navigating the waters of the phenomenon of older women and younger men. This dynamic that has taken hold, one which allows women to embrace their womanhood and enjoy their sexuality, is truly worth embracing. This work runs down "the rules" on how to trap a cougar/cub with both humor and poignancy. Step by step, this guide shows us there's nothing to lose. Michals/Peller takes us through the various levels of seduction, and does so with style. Recommended highly.
One of the best parts from "To Live and Love In L.A." Though not (yet) a cougar myself, I'm friends with some. And I'm friends with some cubs as well. This story does both justice. HILARIOUS. And only 99 cents? Grab it! Or just do the whole "To Live and Love In L.A." To Live and Love In L.A.
Read this in "To Live and Love In L.A." and had to leave a review because... well, my Mom is a cougar. She was the one who first recommended "To Live and Love" to me. This is hilarious, and a great quick read. I'd actually recommend the whole book "To Live and Love In L.A." Only four dollars more (on Kindle) and a LOT of fun as Shawn Michals tries to unearth romance in Los Angeles. Great summer read!
Found this in "To Live and Love In L.A." I'm not yet into my "cougar" years, but if I become one, I will embrace this Guide. Not only is it hilarious, it's spot-on! Shawn Michals goes over exactly what makes cougars and cubs tick, and he does so in a style that is not condescending nor pedantic. This story rocks! And for 99 cents... well, let's just say I already forwarded the Amazon Kindle link to my mom. Enjoy!
My Mom, being a proud cougar, loved this 99 cent Kindle. I loved Peller's "To Live and Drink In L.A.," so I had to get this as well. Am now on to "To Live and Love In L.A." All I can say is Peller is one hot mess. If I ever meet up with him in L.A., I'm going to (you know what) his brains out! This stuff is hot! AND well written, and wickedly funny.
I enjoyed "To Live and Love In L.A." and just had to throw out a review for this specific story, because it was one of my favorite parts of the book. I'm not a cougar (yet) but could still relate to a lot of advice given in this wonderfully hilarious romp. Especially since it's only 99 cents. I dare you to buy it and not want to read all of "To Live and Love In L.A."
Very funny and quirky story. Part of "To Live and Love In L.A.," this "guide" offers advice to both "cubs" and "cougars." Surprisingly deep and respectful of the unique relationship mature women and younger men share. I have a few male friends who are involved with older women, and they swear by Peller's "How To Trap a Cougar vs. How To Trap a Cub."
First found this as a 99 cent Kindle as a story, part of "To Live and Love In L.A." I figured, for 99 cents, why not? As a proud "cougar," I can say that Ben Peller absolutely gets it right in this story about how wonderful love can be between older women and younger men. Women, enjoy! Men, learn! All readers, laugh and live!
Am in the midst of "To Live and Love In L.A." and came upon this gem. It's one of the best stories in the book, and it's out on Kindle. I recommended it to my Mom, who's an "out of the closet" Cougar, and she downloaded it and loved it! Shawn Michals/Ben Peller has apparently made a lot of mature women quite happy. My Mom wants to find his number.
Being that I'll probably be "a cougar" one day, I found this tale to be very funny and very enlightening. The price is certainly right, although I'd recommend jumping in and purchasing the entire book "To Live and Love In L.A." Ben Peller/Shawn Michals is a naughty young man indeed!
One of the best stories in "To Live and Love In L.A." So my mom is a "cougar" of sorts. She doesn't usually read, but I convinced her to read this story (99 cents, why not?), and she couldn't stop laughing. And neither could I.
Loved this story that's in "To Live and Love In L.A." Am not a cougar just yet but I may very well be someday. In the meantime, I'll enjoy Ben Peller's take on the wondrous magic that mature women and younger men can share.
I loved Ben Peller's "To Live and Drink In L.A." and also "To Live and Love In L.A." This story from "To Live and Love" is particularly inriguing and hilarious to me. My mom is a TOTAL cougar and she loved this story. Good job, Peller. Keep 'em coming!
This was one of the best chapters in "To Live and Love In L.A." As a proud "cub," I found it enlightening and also a welcome romp through the wonders that relationships between older women and younger men can inspire. Great reading!
Though I'm a few years off from being as "cougar," my mom is definitely one. And she LOVED this story, part of "To Live and Love In L.A." So I'm posting it for her. It's really funny, and actually pretty educational as well. Enjoy!
I'm a proud "cougar," and highly recommend this story to all who not only identify themselves as such, but to all readers who enjoy humor and love intermixed with the written word. Not to mention that it's only 99 cents. :) Happy hunting!
Being a cougar, this story of "To Live and Love In L.A." hit home. Funny, accurate, and altogether touching. 99 cents is a bargain for the Kindle, but I'd even recommend going for the whole "To Live and Love In L.A." book. Funny stuff all the way around. Tina Fey, David Sedaris, etc.
This 99 cent kindle excerpt from "To Live and Love In L.A." tells cougars and cubs ALL they need to know. Speaking as a semi-cougar, the final piece of advice to us is true: smile at a cub. Done deal, darling.

Had to throw a review of this out there. From the pages of "To Live and Love in L.A." comes a hilarious story about the phenomenon that involves Cougars and Cubs. Only 99 cents... what a bargain!
Just reread this for like the fifth time. Someday (not TOO soon I hope):) I may be a cougar, and this tale is priceless. Funny and informative. Thank you, Ben Peller!
One of the most hilarious tales in "To Live and Love In L.A." Ben Peller/Shawn Michals is a very witty and has obviously has a lot of experience hunting "cougars." Couldn't stop laughing!
